Rex Ryan Call it Like it Is. Love Sexy Rexy!

Rex Ryan Call it Like it Is. Love Sexy Rexy!

Just saw his segment with Ray. He said the 2006 Ravens was a top defense of all time. He said they cried when they lost like babies. No wonder people would run through the wall for Rex. He a real dude, like Mike Tomlin. If Rex was still here with Flacco, we would have 3 rings by now. Anyway that 06 team was crazy, Ed and Ray in their Primes. A young nasty Sizzle and Ngata. Bart Scott and Adalius. Freaking Buddy Lee and Samari and Mcallister. When we got a pick, we took it to the house! What a great team. Too bad Mcnair's arm turned into a noodle at the wrong time and Todd Heap was made out of glass. Man that defense was sick!

It's a complete joke that people like you are complaining after the Ravens just won the Super Bowl.

Do I think Harbaugh is perfect? No

But he's good enough. Ozzie made the decision to go with Harbaugh so people need to shut the hell up about it.

And exactly, how many rings does Rex have ?....His 06 D was a product of those awesome players that he had nothing to do with developing, and bailed on us in the AFCCG because someone else was about to get his HC job in NY.....
And last but not least, the 06 D, as good as it was, couldn't shine the 2k D's shoes....
Rex is a big mouth moron that always puts his foot in his own mouth, and likes it...lol

The 2006 Ravens with Flacco on them would potentially be the greatest team of all time.

That doesn't have much to do with Rex Ryan though.

LOL you think just because he might be an ass that is a good enough reason to fire him?

What a stupid thing to say.

Here's some real history. In 2007, we had tremendous expectations after going 13-3 in 2006. The defense was nasty as hell. But injuries to Mcnair and the defensive backfield doomed that team. They had a losing record in 07 but the core was strong. We get a viable qb in 08 and some competent defensive backs and we start winning. Rex Ryan would have kept this defense at an elite level. Joe Flacco is ten times better than Sanchez, and Rex got to the final four twice with that bum. Rex is a buffoon. But he's a real coach, and people want to play for him.

I wish them both well. But, this game against the Patriots during their undefeated regular season summed up Rex and Bart. Rex called a time out before the 4th and 1 which the Ravens stopped Brady, but then had the timeout forced they replay 4th down again in which the Patriots converted, than later that drive Bart lost it. Both are way too emotional and both like to blame others..

Which competent defensive backs were those in 2008, again?

Anyway, if someone still doesn't know why Rex isn't the Ravens' head coach after the saga in New York, he or she never will.

So the 07 team went 5-11 because they had a lot of injuries.

I seem to remember a recent, Harbaugh-led team having a lot of injuries too. I wonder what happened with them...

Ravens had way more talent than the Jets. Thats undeniable. But to say Rex is a failure in New York is Ludicrous. You think Harbaugh could have done the same in NY? Media would have ripped his corny ass to shreads in Gotham city!

Spanky finally makes sense to me.   He wants Rex to suck his toes.   Now I see the source of the axe for JH.

Re: Rex Ryan Call it Like it Is. Love Sexy Rexy!

Harbaugh has his faults, as all coaches do.  But, for anyone to say we'd be better off with Rex after the joke we've seen in N.Y. over the past couple of years is just crazy.

Rex has the type of personality that might work for a two or three year period, but then it comes crashing down because he demands no self control and lets his players do whatever the hell they want.  With a new cast of players, he might have another small window in which to win some games, but it will all come crashing down again if they stick with fat boy.

Meanwhile, all Harbaugh has done, with the same players that couldn't seem to win when it counted before he got here, is win.  The team is struggling right now, but let's see how it turns out in the long run.  I'm betting he will turn them around.

Re: Rex Ryan Call it Like it Is. Love Sexy Rexy!

I live in NY believe me Rex is a stupid clown that took a once competitive team and turned it into a circus...He is despised by fans and his players (even though he tried the buddy-buddy approach) The media however loves him as he provides so much for them to print . His stupid decisions are TOTALLY responsible for Sanchez being injured....after all, you need to win a meaningless preseason game at any cost....in the last 2 years the best plays coming from the Jets is the Butt Fumble, and Ginos behind the back fumble.....Headline after headline on most sports sites have refered to the circus in the Meadow Lands.
If we had Rex as coach the Ravens would be in the same position as the Jets as his coaching and behavior are the problem, he has no self discipline, and his players mirror his actions.

Don't argue with an idiot;  people watching may not be able to tell the difference.

Re: Rex Ryan Call it Like it Is. Love Sexy Rexy!

Rant, your 2nd paragraph hits exactly why Spanky likes Rex and hates Harbaugh. Spanky doesn't like accountability, work ethic, personal responsibility. He'd rather have a coach that demands no self control, lets players do whatever they want, entitlement, something for nothing, etc.

Some folks would rather have style over substance (If you call that style). Rex reminds me of something my grandfather told me when I was a young boy and I've found it to hold true through my adult life. It was a "corny saying"............................"Empty barrels make the most noise". In a nutshell, if you got it, you don't have to tell people, they'll tell you.

See, I figured out why I like Harbaugh.................corny sayings, hard work, team, character, morals, personal responsibility, success, work ethic, loyalty, etc. You know, all the things that made this country great before we lowered all our standards.

That doesn't have much to do with Rex Ryan though.
Potentially, depends on which offense you tag with that defense.

Re: Rex Ryan Call it Like it Is. Love Sexy Rexy!

This is one of the dumbest threads in YBR history. Before the season, Ryan was considered a joke, and was one of the coaches most likely to be fired before the season was over. Harbaugh was presiding over the Super Bowl Champions, in addition to having won at least one playoff game every year since he was hired. And now, 7 weeks in, Ryan's Jets have one more win than Harbaugh's Ravens... and suddenly you love the clown in NY?!?

Oh, and your misplaced modifier ("...they cried when they lost like babies") in the first sentence implies that the Ravens lost like babies to the Colts in Jan '07. But maybe that's what you meant; who knows with you?

Surely you're just goofing around with us at this point, right, Spanky?

Rex is doing such a fine job with the Jets. A model NFL franchise.

So, when was their last Super Bowl Apperance?

How many years in a row have they made the playoff's, when another team didn't tank it the last week of the season that allowed them to get in?

Some people on these boards have some serious issues.
