Bernard Pierce is quite injury prone, in which case Rice could be the only freaking running back on the ENTIRE TEAM!! Rainey did all they asked him to do and more, and they cut him for what reason, to keep Anthony Levine and Bryndon Trawick??? It is simply NOT common sense to let Rainey and Allen go. Now the Browns have picked Rainey up, and he's officially gone for good. With all of the dumb moves, we now also have two TE's who are eligable to play in the first eight weeks. And on a side note Dallas Clark had a horrific preseason, and Dickson is coming off of an injury. I am not happy with the cuts of Furstenburg, Allen, and Rainey, and I strongly believe that Ozzie is going to heavily regret this.

I get your frustration, remembering his performance last year in camp as well. And I thought he'd make an interesting kick return guy. We'll just have to trust in Ozzie. Anthony Allen and Damien Berry have also looked good at times going against 3rd stringers - just like Rainey did. FWIW, Squealers also waived Dwyer - who always impressed me when I saw him run. The system, unfortunately for us, doesn't let good teams horde players.

Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell the difference.

Good for Rainey, but he wasn't going to see the field here. He just wasn't.
And keep in mind, EVEN if we lost Rice and Pierce, this is Flacco's team now. We'd just let him take over, and do more things like bubble screens to get short yardage.
Rainey was a luxury that we ended up going without.
I'm glad he is getting paid now.
