Ravens to officially open on the road- the NFL can go to hell
on this: Jeff Zrebiec @ jeffzrebiecsunPer league source, NFL kickoff game in Baltimore is sort of in limbo. Ravens and orioles have not been able to agree to compromise.
and... Jeff Zrebiec @ jeffzrebiecsunNFL kickoff game will be played on Thursday, sept 5. Orioles also have game that night and have yet to agree to move it to this point.
We're the Super Bowl champs for gosh sakes.

Opening game in limbo, thanks Angelos.
You just can't make this stuff up.. Jeff Zrebiec @ jeffzrebiecsun Per league source, NFL kickoff game in Baltimore is sort of in limbo. Ravens and orioles have not been able to agree to compromise.
If the Orioles prevent the Ravens from having the opening game I will never spend one dime on them again. Not like I spend that much now, but it will be ZERO if they take our national spotlight away being unreasonable.
It is a regular season game, move it. Not really that complicated.

Re: The O's need to defer to the Ravens...
As much as I agree that the Ravens game should trump the O's. I don't think it is that easy. Doubt they will move the game to a day game. The O's play in Cleveland the night before the game The White Sox play in New York the night before the game.
Doubt both teams will want a 1pm game with a night game before along with the travel. Who knows...there is time. Maybe the game would be on Wednesday???

RE: Opening game in limbo, thanks Angelos.
This is why I never go to O's games. Angelos is a complete douche. One of my family friends, who is a high up exec for a company, had a run in with Angelos at a game. Angelos complained because someone in their party had their O's hat on backwards and that they were too rowdy. They were in the box next to Angelos.

Ballsy after 1 winning season in 15 years. I like it!
The Orioles will fold. Ravens games sell out and Orioles games don't.

Re: The O's need to defer to the Ravens...
The NFL won't open on Wednesday because it's Rosh Hashanah. This is incredibly complicated and also happened the season after the Ravens' first Super Bowl.

RE: Opening game in limbo, thanks Angelos.
Play them both, who cares! We should open at home. In 2000 we had 911 and our opener got moved to the end of the season.
This is ridiculous. When 911 happened, there was no preventing a tragedy. The O's can move their game.

Re: The O's need to defer to the Ravens...
Suttle down folks and read up b4 making comments.... MLB and the NFL has to figure it out between both teams,Orioles and the White Sox if both teams can move the series to Chicago all together while getting a White Sox Orioles series in Baltimore earlier in the year. NFL is asking to use OPACY for a concert leading up to the possible Ravens home game. Could the Orioles and White Sox schedule a day/night on Saturday; likley so but not if OPACY is not ready for Friday night.

Just move the O's game to the 12:05 start, Ravens lot's open at 4 p.m. What the hell is so hard? They call these multi-million dollar businesses? Scrap the concert and all the crap, just play football! They do this all the time during postseason baseball. Take Philly for example, they have Eagles games and Phillies games at home the same day. Same goes for Flyers and Phillies, just make it work.
