Dumervil on the Ravens Radar

Elvis Dumervil is firmly on the Ravens' radar and they hope to meet with him next week, per a league source.

would be pretty sweet - but how are we going to afford him?

No surprise here.

Aaron Wilson‏  Elvis Dumervil and his agent are parting ways, according to sources close to the situation

I'm confused. I thought the offseason ended Thur and we had last place in the bag. There are still quality players available???

Four days ago, I would have said that if the Ravens were going to spend significant money on a situational pass rusher, they would have simply kept Kruger.

But with the market the way it is, who knows.  It would be a great fit for the right price.

Kruger is a one dimensional player. Dumervil would be a major upgrade.

I'm not buying the level of interest that AW is stating. He is a 29 year old, One trick pony. He is a two year older version of Kruger, that has a more established sack history. I remember his one sack in the win Denver had at M&T, if was a stat stuffer when there was no time left on the clock. When Harbs should have pulled Joe. He was sacked three times in the last two minutes of that game.

RE: Dumervil on the Ravens Radar

Free agent Elvis Dumervil's fired player rep, Marty Magid, has agreed to waive Dumervil's five-day waiting period to hire a new agent.

It's the least Magid could do after sabotaging his client's best interest. Dumervil is now eligible to hire another agent immediately, which in turn would allow Dumervil to sign with a team. The Ravens want to bring him in for a visit.

With all due respect Braven, how would you like to pay this guy? He's two years older, and he too is extremely one dimensional.

Dumervil is also a one dimensional player.  Unless there's an injury, he would play the same role Kruger did last year.

There are five more priorities than Dumervil if you ask me. Safeties, plural, NT, ILB, LT

So true... I'd rather take my chance with Hamilton, than pay a 5'11" 29 year old DE

Re: Dumervil on the Ravens Radar

It seems like he will make more on the open market then the Broncos were going to pay him. (3.1M in new money for this year) and they were going to cut him next year anyway or force him to take another pay cut.

1 year 5 million. That is the contract Michael Bennett got from Seattle. I might do that for Elvis

Dumervil will cost too much for us.  I don't believe it.

Re: Dumervil on the Ravens Radar

He was slated to make 8mil from Denver before the paperwork screw up. I don't see us forking out that kind of    $$$$$

Don't argue with an idiot;  people watching may not be able to tell the difference.
