What, no snow topic yet?
Looks like up my neck of the woods, Southern York County, we could be seeing a ton of snow. Maybe a foot or more if things come together right. In Baltimore, it sounds like it is going to be a border battle between dynamic/evaporation cooling and the warm ocean/bay. Should be interesting to see which one wins out. Baltimore could wind up with anywhere from a few slushy inches to over a foot.

Doesn't even feel close to cold enough to snow. I bet we get nothing. A dusting maybe.

twazl634 wrote: we need an epic snow thread like we had a few years ago Yes, we haven't had a good panic in a while. Let me start. Hey, with such a heavy, wet snow and combining that with 20-30 mph winds, you better get out there and get your generators now. Heck, we could be looking at 1-2 weeks before some of us get power back on. How is that?

Several places you can go, like www.weather.gov and then put in your zip code. For tonight it shows heavy snow starting with accums of 1-2 inches. Tomorrow, heavy snow and 5-9 inches. Tomorrow night, snow mainly before 1:00 am and it doesn't specify an amount total. So, basically saying we could get close to 1 foot. www.weather.com for my area calls for 1-2 tonight with winds 20-30 mph. Tomorrow, 6-10 inches and tomorrow night about 1 inch with winds continuing at that rate. Again, somewhere approaching 1 foot along with very windy conditions.

Re: What, no snow topic yet?
I don't buy into the weather people on our local stations.. All they try to do is sensationalize everything and anything... Why don't they just go back to half hour local news on tv... Say what you have to once and be done..making these local news shows hours long only to repeat stories over and over is too much.. And once or twice a day at that would be more then enough... Back to the topic... If we get 3 inches that would surprise me... It doesn't matter as if it does snow 3 inches the weather people will say we got a foot... They never report the facts....
