And when you look at it what he said he makes us look like the picture of tolerance and enlightenment. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nfl--report--niners-c b-says-openly-gay-players-would-not-be-welcomed-on -the-team-190346715.html http://www.drudgereport.com/Now let's watch the media tie themselves up in knots over this one. How can they not go after this guy after all the non-issues they've tried to nail us with this week.

I don't know. How can we be the bad guys when we have a guy promoting tolerance when the SAN FRANCISCO 49ers have a guy slamming gays.
We'll see what happens. This makes Flaccos retard comment seem like the mild gaffe it was and sucks some of the air out of the Ray Lewis Is Bad story line.

Irony, a player from San Francisco with one of the largest gay communities in the US makes negative remarks about Gay people.

As mentioned above, to do this as a SAN FRANCISCO player is simply... well retarded. btw- When did retarded become a big F ing deal? It is an actual term with an actual scientific definition? If ur brain function or development is slowed down it is RETARDED. Many things other then people can have retarded development. Your progress at work can be retarded due to poor performance. The PC police in this world can bite me. I've watched nothing but sit coms all damn week. My TV goes on at 6:15 Sunday.

Re: Yayyy. A 49er finally did something to invite media wrath
Whether or not it plays well with his fanbase is one thing, but the dude just answered the question he was asked.
I doubt anyone in the media is offended - they are just hoping someone out there is offended so it gets their story some attention.
If the media didn't want anyone to be offended, they'd simply avoid this sort of thing, but they really don't mind the answer.
Frankly, if I wanted to, I could be offended by a ton of things that get said by players, by things that don't get said by players, or by things the players have done in their lives. It seems a bit selfish to focus on a guy using the word retarded or a man who is honest about homosexuality when offensive things happen every minute.
I am just glad it gives them a 49er to chew on for a day and not a Raven.

I've watched nothing but sit coms all damn week. My TV goes on at 6:15 Sunday. We'll be expecting your carefully worded apology, post-haste, Mr. MyHero! And, yeah, I'm with you regarding this pre-game non-stop coverage. I watched the rally on Monday and haven't tuned in to anything else since. It's just maddening, cuz we're thrusting these men into the biggest spotlight on earth for a week, most of whom are completely unpolished (as far as being camera- and media-savvy) and whose job it is to smash into each other at top speed, and then acting shocked when they say stupid sh*t. They are football players! I care about as much about what they have to say as I do what Sean Penn or George Clooney say - VERY little. There's so little actual football talk this week... But hey, it's the Super Bowl, which, unless your team is in it, really isn't about football so much anymore. It's about American Excess at its finest! And I'm OK with that. I just choose not to partake in most of it. It's still AWESOME that OUR TEAM is in it, though!!!

"The derogatory comments I made yesterday were a reflection of thoughts in my head, but they are not how I feel"
That right there is some funny stuff.
Discrimination is not right, expecting someone to agree with some half baked agenda, simply because people are too stupid to think for themselves, and have been indoctrinated by lies and misconceptions is pathetic.

Shame Shame Shame.. We are going to lose a corner or two, this season and Culliver would look good in purple. From one solid to another! Dude makes a statement that 95% of the players agree with and now he's a bad guy. Whatever. If they don't want him, he can be our 4th corner next year.

Political correctness exists for a really, really good reason. Such ignorance I've faced discrimination in my life, of course I didn't like it, but I don't try to force other people to see my viewpoint by being a victim and through coercion. Political Correctness is deteriorating scociety elevating a few at the expense of many.

Seriously what's the difference between a gay player in the lockerroom and let's say a woman punter or placekicker? Would you tell a woman who is a kicker or punter she could not change in the male locker room? There might be a woman placekicker in a few years.. Culliver is getting a bad rap.

Spank, every person has a "right" to say whatever they feel, it doesnt mean they should say it. And just as they have a "right" to say whatever they want, people also have a "right" to crucify them in the media. It comes with the "rights"

Political correctness exists for a really, really good reason. Political correctness exists to allow people to feel offended by the slightest word. That's not a "really, really good reason." It's a bad reason at best. Certain things that are deragatory in nature, sure, maybe we shouldn't say them in polite society. But that doesn't mean we can't. And if you feel offended by what someone has to say, walk away. No one is requiring you to listen. Discrimination in itself isn't a bad thing - but don't for a moment think I mean discrimination based on physical appearance. Everyone does it all the time. When looking for a potential date, friends, whatever - we look for certain things, and we discriminate based on what we don't want. Same thing for employment - when looking for a qualified employee, I discriminate by removing the unqualified candidates. If you don't show the proper qualifications, I don't have any reason to speak with you regarding the position. Now, descrimination basd on "race" is out of the question. My sister has dated a few guys who are not the same skin pigmentation as the rest of the family. So what? They all turned out to be a bunch of scum, but that's because of who they are as individuals. If she ended up marrying someone with darker skin pigmentation, good for her! I'll look at him the same way I do my other sister's husband.
FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!!!!!
It's free agency, so DON'T PANIC!

Re: Yayyy. A 49er finally did something to invite media wrath
The irony is, when it come to homophobia, why are people so scared? Anedoctally, most homophobes have something to hide. And I'll leave it at that. People are who they are. World would be a much better place if everyone could just accept that, that we're all different. And we won't agree. So why hate? Again if it bothers you that much, makes me think that is because you PERSONALLY have something to worry about. As a heterosexual married dude with no questions on where I stand, I see no problem with gay players in a lockerroom, or on any team, or wherever. Doesn't affect me. And if you think it affects you, I would say look in the mirror and figure out why that is.

Prohomo's not only want you to accept their ways, but they want you to be down with it, and love it. If you don't think four nuts a flappin is the next best thing to sliced bread you are, by their impression, a hate filled bastard. If you don't except their premise that homosex is innate, the BS born that way premise, which by the way is supported by zero scientific evidence, once again you are simply full of hate.
So either I except the ideology of people, I honestly wouldn't trust to sit on a toilet seat right, or I am a bigot? I tell you this, the word bigot, in this case, has been redefined, sanitized and made pure as driven snow!

Would I want her to get the job based on what's between her legs? No of course not. Ok, now there is a female in the lockerroom naked and such, and maybe the players wives, or maybe the kicker is uncomfortable with the men looking at her. What you say about that?
