Re: oh boy.

PFT's anti-Raven articles are getting out of control. Any time there's something about Flacco wanting a big contract, BOOM....here's an article that makes him look like a jerk. And that's just an example. You just don't see that kind of BS "journalism" in reference to the 49ers.

Florio and his staff (I'm looking at you Evan Silva and Michael David Smith) and asshats. ASSHATS.

Stuff like this brings back what PFT used to be. Ridiculous, uncorroborated RUMORS.

BTW....recording a phone call (at least in Maryland) without the other person's consent is illegal. Why aren't they bringing that up?

Re: oh boy.

I'm a biologist and it's hard to believe that it would make such a difference on a torn triceps over such a short amount of time at this stage in his career. As much as Lewis took, who knows about the bioavailability of IGF-1 from this specific extract?

The question is whether the extract is banned, not whether a substance that's in the extract is banned and whether Lewis knew that the extract was banned.

This should put an end to any speculation if Ray Lewis would ever use banned substances

No test available for this substance...so he NEVER failed any test, no proof that he ever used it..

Don't argue with an idiot;  people watching may not be able to tell the difference.

the original article mentions other people that used SWATS products...including DREW BREES. Let me type that again....

DREW BREES

Where are the articles asking about why Brees is using a "banned substance?"

This will only circle the wagons and make the team stronger. Attacking Ray at a media day will only reinforce their us against the world attitude and focus on game day.
The 2000 Giants can attest to that.

Which makes it easy for people to throw out baseless accusations.

To be fair though, Lance Armstrong never failed a test either.

With so much hate and vitriol being thrown at Ray by ignorant people, this doesn't surprise me in the least. Sounds like an opportunistic journalist trying to make a name, or get credit for a big scoop.

In the end this will just be one more reason for Pats and Squeeler fans and the rest of the haters to throw in our face to downplay our Super Bowl.  Just remember the answers to them respectively are 'bountygate' and 'paid refs in Super Bowl 40!'

And one could reasonably assume the NFL isn't going to spend the next decade trying to prove his guilt.

That backs up my latest facebook status about this situation even though I forgot about the illegal recordings without consent. This is what I said:

I just got a reminder of why I don't buy Sports Illustrated and their horse crap! Always looking to Make a story out of nothing. Ray Lewis using a banned substance? Yeah right! When pigs fly! Rick Reilly is one of the reasons why I would never buy anything from them. Lance Armstrong got his 15 minutes of shame. Ray Lewis has worked hard to restore his image from the murder case that took place in Atlanta 13 years ago, why would he bring all that down now? Sports Illustrated needs to get over themselves.

Good morning world!! Respect the REAL, ignore the FAKE, keep it moving, and have a GREAT DAY!

I'm beginning to wonder how the team can think its worth it, this is as bad as running for political office. I guess the Raven hatred is just magnified since there are only 2 teams left.

You throw all these factors in together: the fact that we have the most heated rivalry in sports (so PIT fans hate us.)  Browns fans hate us for obvious reasons.  We keep on p***ing in the Patriots Wheaties.  The Jets try to be us, but can't, despite taking key pieces from us.  We've had knock-down-drag-outs with the Titans.  Redskins fans resent the success of the new team up 95 while they mire in the missteps of an organization that's lost it's mind.  We play(ed) a gritty brand of defense heavy, run heavy, smash-mouth football in a league where most players and teams have gone soft (compared to the 90's and before.)  We tend to injure other players (even though the vast majority if not all those were on clean plays.)  Ignorant people see Ray as a "murderer" and many see him as the ultimate loud-mouth.  We've had some guys with a thuggish image on our team on or off the field including Jamal Lewis who was accused of being involved in a drug deal.  And you're gonna get some people who hate our team, and want to misconstrue things.  I've said it for a damn decade now, we are the Oakland Raiders of the East.  The team people love to hate.  We are painted as the villain by the media and ignorant fans with an axe to grind.

Is it all worth it?  Yes... if you say screw it... relish in the role and know that ours is the team that likes to play spoiler.  The perennial underdog that so many can't wait to see fail... only we rain on their parade instead.  Deal with it haters, your tears won't make your sour grapes taste any better!

Exactly, lance. The media was practically begging for a Giants SB win. I have turned ESPN/NFL Network off these last two weeks. I'll watch again when draft time comes.

Local sports radio in Virginia Beach was just questioning the timing of this accusation. Saying it's a little too damn convenient to break this story FIVE DAYS before the Super Bowl. At least someone is being reasonable. Though in the next segment they said Kaep would run all over us, and we can't stop him, so......

This deer antler crap is really starting to wear thin on my constitution.  Turned on the local hayseed news, and there are dozens of local stories they usually cover, b ball, etc. but of course, they have to lead off with this and the story is titled "OH DEER!".  Clueless hilljacks, even the reporters.

Can't wait to read wht the @sshole Paul Daugherty has to say.
