Re: AFC Championship Game Thread: Ravens @ NE

Today we win.... And surprisingly it will not be all that bad..... Of course it will start out bad as it seems our defense always has to adjust at first and always allows a score but after that they will play well and Flacco will be right on today.... Good luck ravens and I for one am proud of you win or lose.... No one expected you to get this far but you did.... Hold your heads high either way....GO RAVENS !!!

By the way, I heard that the 4th seed has won 6 out of 7 times for the AFC championship....

I'm actually quite calm. Everything is falling into place, the OLinemen playing in their proper positions, the health of the defense, new OC making Joe a better QB, two solid RB's vs just Ray Rice.  Ray back, Suggs back, Kruger playing lights out right when we need a solid pass rush.

Pats are going down today, along with their stupid count down clock on Ray's career.  I'm already planning my SB party invite list and dinner menu.

After last year's soul-crushing defeat I was DETERMINED to not get my heart involved this year.  I would have to be pleasantly surprised.  I've approached and followed the regular season coolly detached but once Ray announced his retirement - it's like he flipped the damn switch on us - the wiley old coot.

I will be screaming my ass off this evening.  excited

LETS GO BALTIMORE!

Looks like about 35 degrees at kickoff with a 15-17 mph wind. Great conditions for a Sunday evening football game in January.

I also want to mention that the little countdown clock for Ray flushed that tacky Patriot fans put up will come back to bite them in the tail. He who laughs last laughs the longest.wink

I just can't have this game be close, I'm sure it will be. But I can't deal with another heart attack like last year, and the Denver game.

I think the O will gel, I'm worried about the D. I know we did well against Manning, but Brady always scares me. He also gets ticky tacky calls in his favor

I hear you but Brady doesn't throw many deep balls just like Manning.  Brady's a dinker and dunker and our defense is more apt to cause them mistakes than for us to make mistakes in that situation.

Bend but NEVER BREAK!!!!!

Is Caldwell actually ON THE FIELD for the game?  He seemed to do well in the box calling plays.

Is Marino drunk? Brady was in the SB last year, and in 2007. Or did he just misspeak?
