Any superstitions?
A couple of recent things for me
For the Giants game, i didn;t wear a jersey .. i wore a simple mock turtle pullover (i hate how a jersey looks hanging below a winter coat) I didn't wear that shirt for the Cinn game (loss). I started to put 2 and 2 together, and wore the same shirt for the Indy and Denver games ............. it's now my lucky shirt.
During the Denver game, my pain in the ass ankle biting dog was barking cause I had a basement full of people. To quiet her, i was holding her during Torrey's 2nd TD. I then held her when we were in the red zone for Rice's TD(after the long run). I started to catch on and picked her back up before Jacoby's catch. I then put us both through the hell of holding her during the entire OT

I have an anti-superstition...
I have a black Ed Reed jersey, and every single time (and I mean EVERY SINGLE TIME) I wear it on gameday, not only do we lose, we get SMOKED.
So I've stopped wearing it altogether. I'm hoping to get it signed at some point, and I can frame it...removing it from my closet once and for all.

I know people will think this is a strange one but I have never been able to see a game in progress . The ravens will lose if I do. All the games I have to see after the fact. Even turning on the game for a second I looking at a fumble or pick, or some other crude. Been going on since 2004. Very very hard if its your fav team

Wore my late father's purple Ray Lewis jersey for the Indy game. Wore it again for Denver. I will be wearing it for New England.

A few times the week we've played an opponent I've went to play Madden Online and ended up matched against that opponent. The times I beat them we won, the times I lost we lost. So I gave up playing Madden Online during the regular season.. Yesterday couldn't resist playing w the wife and son out.. Guess who my opponent was? Yup the Patriots...
Game came down to the last 45 seconds and I drove down the field and kicked a winning field! 42-41. It was very stressful for me hahah.. Needless to say I'm done w Madden until after the Super Bowl.

Wow darklady sorry u can never watch the Ravens live. Now I'm curious. Do you work in a hospital or serving overseas or what? It's hard to imagine how one unfortunately misses 8 years of live games!

Wow darklady sorry u can never watch the Ravens live. Now I'm curious. Do you work in a hospital or serving overseas or what? It's hard to imagine how one unfortunately misses 8 years of live games! She's saying that she doesn't watch them live by choice, because they'll lose. |

way to many to name...lol
1.only drink coffee out of my ravens mug on gameday
2. away games in my ravens man cave I drink and listen to music before kickoff
3. listen to the fight song in my car only on game day. the oringinal CD the ravens gave us in 99
4. only wear a 52 jersey during game until ray stops wearing his.

a few years ago, a family member(old aunt) got me a moss pats jersey as present,  she doesn't know anything about football, or maybe she does and it was just sick joke anyways I wore it for the ravens vs pats 2010 playoff game. I wore twice more and the pats both lost both times. last Superbowl and vs the sea hawks this year. yeah the pats are 0-3 whenever I wear it. I wanted to wear last week, but I had to save in case they won, witch they did. its a reverse jinx, sort of thing, trust me on this guys. |

Nope, superstitions aren't real. Debbie Downer I know, lol.
I do like to drink a natty boh (as opposed to the better beers I drink while watching the game) when the game is close at the end though. I end up doing this for both Orioles and Ravens games.

I forgot to turn off my playoff lights on the way out to the Indy game, so they were left on all day. So I left them on the morning of the Denver game. They haven't been turned off since...

This past summer before Nike took over for Reebok,I bought a authenic customized jersey with my name on it. Guess what our record was when wearing it ? How does 0-5 grab you ? Needless to say that jersey will collect dust |

but i used to be an absolute nut case with the superstitions...ive calmed down alot, but I wont watch the away games with three of my friends..since 2007 we havent won a single game while watching together..its very odd...we tried twice last year, lost both games...

remember only crazy if it doesnt work ...lol ... my wife holds up celery toward the screen ONLY when the Ravens are on defense and normally we get a turnover ... she now has "celery sisters" ...lol

I forgot to mention one more. Purple Friday Caravan - I am not allowed to watch it. Every year I've watched it, we lose that game. Participation is fine (I was on the opening weekend caravan, and we smoked the Bengals). But showing up as a fan? Nope, won't do it anymore.

I watched the Denver game at Cross St Market in Fed. There was a tuna fish hanging on the wall. We rubbed it before all the big plays.
Needless to say we will be back there this weekend, rubbing that damn fish.

My wife and I cant watch the game in the same room, haven't since 2000. We tried a few times and we always loose. I watch in the man cave and she watches in the family room.
Always wear my 52 jersey
Always have my ravens flag flying on game day.

All I can say is I hope a big chunk of this thread was tongue-in-cheek. Honestly sometimes I feel like if I get my hopes up for a game, they'll lose. But I know in the end it has zero effect on that or the price of tea in China.

I don't watch the game. I just follow the game thread online. I've worn purple shirt, purple bra, and purple undies on our playoff games this year. I have painted my toenails last week, will paint my fingernails tomorrow, and will create my own Baltimore Ravens tie dye fan shirt for the Super Bowl. I have posted Go Ravens/I Still Believe throughout the game threads, and we won...
