Re: Bring on Denver

The early line has the Ravens as 9 point underdogs next week.  I bet none of the "experts" on TV pick the Ravens to win next week.  I think it's our Superbowl game.  If they beat Denver, I believe they'll win the rest of their games.

Especially the second half. That's good winning football. Also the best qb today.

RE: Bring on Denver

We need to better than we were today.

If Flacco can play like he did in the 2nd half with Pierce and Rice (holding onto the football) running well we can beat those guys. Defense needs to keep Manning to 3s instead of 7, Jacoby needs to be Jacoby, and offense can't have their 1-2 quarter disapearing act.

Jacoby won't get much of a chance. That thin air means kickoffs travel just a bit farther.

FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!!!!!

RE: Bring on Denver

Yes, we do need to be better than today in that:

1) We can't leave points off the board with turnovers in the red zone like today and last time vs. Denver
2) We have to reduce the penalties; and
3) We need to tackle better! It's maddening seeing RB's that should be down for a loss or no gain squirm out and then carry guys with them for 3 and 4 extras yards.

On paper they're supposedly better than us so maybe we shouldn't be surprised if we lose, but guess what. This time around we're a different offense and a healthier defense.

Hopefully Ray Rice doesn't fumble twice.  I guess he gets a free pass but Flacco won't get credit for the win.  I've come to accept it.

RE: Bring on Denver

Flacco played well in the second half only, It will not suffice in Denver. The Broncos score TDs not FGs.
The offense will need to have its best game ever in Denver.

They will need to score about 27 points and control the time of possession. They can do it, it's now or never for this group.

I hope that gives them the focus they need.

The forecast says snow. If it's cold and snowy (Manning least favorite time of the year) rattling Manning and making this a brawl should help.

Boldin said the team wanted Denver, "we'll make it different" he said.

RE: Bring on Denver

Manning burned Ed Reed bad last game, Reed undercut a sideline route that Eric Decker took 51 yards to the house. IF Ed really wants to fool Manning, play disciplined football, Peyton will never expect it.

I think its Joe's and the offenses MO...it just depends on what half they feel like giving effort

LoL...I think its easier on the heart when your glass is half empty. If they lose, the result is "I knew it" but if they win, its peanut butter/jelly time !!!

Anyone else find it interesting that we beat Luck... the "Colt", and now we play Manning, the "Bronco"?

I booked a ticket to Denver about a month and a half ago because the girlfriend is out there for work & I have some family there.  It just so happens that the Ravens will be joining me.

Already got tickets too!

What a progression that would be for us - a little horse to a bigger horse to a bull.  Bring 'em on - we'll keep this last "ride" going all the way to New Orleans!

The Real Ravens have been impressive the last two games they have played. Indy beat a Houston team playing for home field and then they got torched yesterday. Nobody is giving us a chance, but I think we gonna shock the world...

Re: Bring on Denver

Last I checked folks, the Broncos players put their pants on one leg at a time just like any other team. If the Ravens play their game, they can beat those guys. I will never be "Steelerish like" and blame anything on injuries; however, I would love to see how this game unfolds now that we have all of our guys back. That game in Baltimore against the Broncos, we had no Lewis, Pollard, McPhee, and I think Ngata was out or only played sparingly.  All the Ravens can do is control what they can and that is executing well on offense and hitting anything that moves on defense. At the end of the day, if the Broncos are still a little bit better than the Ravens, well you simply tip your hat to them and congratulate the Ravens on a good season.

I love how the NFL still finds a way to screw us out of a day of rest for the game

Houston should be playing on Saturday and we should be playing on Sunday

but whatever I hope they team gets out there early to adjust to the altitude

...and don't call me Shirley

RE: Bring on Denver

I can't believe I'm saying this after what I was feeling about 6 weeks ago..but I like where our teams at. I like the re-shuffled line. I love the way Pierce is running and he should be fresh. Our O weapons are as strong as they have ever been in this 5 year stretch. Young guys on the defense are stepping up, older guys know this may be the last ride for them too. I think it's time Flacco takes that next step.

Hoping for some snow Saturday afternoon in Denver.
