Could Rottenburger miss our game ? "Injury" (merged)

At the very least he may be a bit distracted.

Would rather have him play. It wouldn't count if we won.

Are you being sarcastic or serious?  If serious, then it already won't count if we lose since Reed, Suggs and Gnata are half speed and we are without Lewis and Webb.

Hey, this is the NFL.  You take any break you can get and be thankful for it.  As much as I can't stand the guy, Rottenburger is pretty much their entire offense.  Without him, they would have trouble scoring.

You don't think a healthy Byon Leftwich could beat the Ravens?  The Steelers have been successfully plugging in players for injured ones all year.

No. No I don't.

Hopefully he wont play, but unless the child is born THAT same day... then I see BigBen playing.

Uh, no.  There defense would keep them in the game, but Rottenburger has been their entire offense.  Without him, they would be hard pressed to score.  Even their defense would suffer.  Their defense isn't really as good as it sounds.  The other team doesn't get many chances due to the ball control offense they have.  The time of possession is ridiculous.

They would not win many games without Rottenburger.

Whatever happens this game doesn't count since we're missing Ray Lewis.

Maybe the mother will drop the charges if Ben agrees to be a supportive influence in the baby’s life.

He's always been a bit of a wild card, usually in bad ways, like biking w/out a helmet and his extra-curricular activities involving ladies.  It might be frustrating to the team but I'm not going to knock him on this one.  Hopefully he get's to do both, play the game and watch his kid get born.

Maybe he'll pass out and bang his head on the floor upon witnessing the "miracle" of birth and not get to play.

I've been there thrice and it's technicolor to say the least.

And the C-Section?  That one was like watching the scene at the end of Braveheart.  I kept expecting my wife to yell "Freeeedommmmmm!!!!!!!"

There is a chance that we could be without Roethisberger and Brown. The timing would have to be perfect for you to luck out like that. You guys should enjoy the link below. The language is a bit coarse, so do not click if you are impressionable.

Rothlisberger Injury Conspiracy

I watched the tackle two dozen times. He never even winced. I'm calling bsflag.gif

I've had several shoulder injuries. Separations, and Subluxations. They all are severely painful. There is no way he was hurt on that play. Even bruised Shoulders are quite painful. Queue the violins.

The injury is labeled "unusual".

The reason is because doctors can't figure out why he's wasting their time.

It was a bigger plan by Flip Wilson and Ben. Problem was they didn't think they would have laid an egg, playing the game so poorly themselves despite help from the seven in stripes. At times it was so obvious.

Re: Rothlisberger Injury Conspiracy

Agreed Crow. This is a lame attempt by Flip & Ben to get the Ravens to prepare for an alternative game plan or QB. Well, we have been fooled too many times. What is hilarious is if I didn't know better I would believe the Media is in on it....

Here is the plan. He will carry his wife on his so called bad shoulder to the hospital, then hand deliver the baby via natural child birth. Afterwards, with 20 minutes prior to kickoff, during Sunday Night's NBC Pre-Game, he will be seen rushing to the locker room with his shoulder in a sling posing for the cameras...

He would sabotage his team's chances in the current game just to play mind games with his next opponent?

That is beyond insane. Listen to yourself.

I'm not saying that he didn't get roughed up but it wouldn't surprise me if the Steelers were using this instance to try and get the Ravens to take them lightly as they usually do if he were a little hurt.

They wouldn't take him out of a critical game just to try and fool us to get some faux advantage (we never take them lightly, be real). Good grief.

RE: Rothlisberger Injury Conspiracy

Dude, I get where you're coming from, but seriously, this is insane. To get the possible slight advantage of the Ravens not taking a major rivalry game seriously when they're just one game up in the division, they take out their starter in a tied game to play Byron "How-do-I-have-a-job" Leftwich? Hey, I've got a great idea, let's pretend to shoot Ray Rice in the kneecaps on the sidelines before the game, that'll catch the Steelers off-guard.

If that really was Tomlin's plan, then he's a goddamn wizard, because unless he could see the future, hell no would he have pulled Ben for some idiotic mindgame.

Re: Rothlisberger Injury Conspiracy

That is the most odd sack dance ive ever seen. Guessing starting in 2013 there is a 15 yard penatly for multiple players celebrating a sack.Your team is 1-7, why celebrate like this BTW.   and no I dont think this is to get in the Ravens head nor a drama move as he has missed Ravens game before.
