The Obama Economy: Greatest 6 month period of growth since 1997

The Obama Economy: Greatest 6 month period of growth since 1997

I am getting another Obama poster for my bedroom after this:

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Friday that the U.S. economy created 198,000 seasonally adjusted new private non-farm jobs in July and 11,000 public-sector jobs for a total of 209,000. Officially, the unemployment rate rose to 6.2 percent. The consensus of analysts surveyed by Bloomberg in advance of the announcement was for 233,000 new jobs. This is the sixth month in a row that the BLS has reported more than 200,000 new jobs have been created. The last time there was a six-month run that high was in 1997.

Maybe this one?  Makes me legs tingle to look at him.

Until the numbers are adjusted down in a few weeks late on a Friday afternoon. And then adjusted down again a week or two after that - again, late on a Friday afternoon.

Standard operating procedure. But let us celebrate the fiction now, because the reality under this administration has been and continues to be a nightmare.

These Obama folk have added literally $8 TRILLION to the national debt in the last not even 6 years - and the unemployment rate remains in the mid teens (when realistically reported). $8 TRILLION. What a sad, sad legacy of a miserably failed presidency - but, hey, you can 'marry' who and whatever you want now!

Here is the thing either the Dems have to admit that government can't control the economy or the Republicans in congress are doing a good job. The Dems keep preaching both sides for years and they don't even realize they are being hypocrites.

Re: The Obama Economy: Greatest 6 month period of growth since

Only liberal math and socialism will look at this economic information and think it is a success

The labor rate is a a rapid decline. We have more people dependent on handouts than we have in decades. Obama has NOTHING to point to as a success,

The chart is clear as day. Labor rates have been steady for the past few decades until obama started fundamentally changing this country. Even after the Clinton recession, the dot com bubble burst and 9-11, the dip was minor compared to what we are in now. The left will try to fight facts with stats.

2009, the population was 305 million. We had 145 million working
2014, the population is now 317 million. We have 143 million working

Since Obama took office, we have added 12 million to the population, but have 2 million less working. And galy thinks this is great news.

Obama has failed at everything he has touched. The economy is probably his biggest failure

Having more people dependent on gov't is what is causing the tingle on G7's leg....

Jeez this board is depressing.

It's a microcosm of what's wrong with this country.

Propaganda and counter propaganda.

92 million not working and huge numbers of people on disability and food stamps.

Why is Galen schilling when even his own party propagandist outlets are admitting things are still not good?

In the words of Sir Laurence Oliver "Look at me, Look at me, Look at me..."

This president is not creating wealth.  He is just trying to take it from those that have it and give it to others without actually creating an environment where people can help themselves.  i.e.  a robust economy.

Harness our natural resources.

Release govt. and industry from anti-competitive labour standards.

Stop dividing the country along lines of class and race.

Worst president and economy in generations.

Enough with the "Mission Accomplished" moments.

This is a very George Bush like pronouncements.

Let's not forget the net 200,000 jobs a month or so back that was 700,000 part-time jobs created and 500,000 full-time jobs lost.

Obamacare is creating jobs, 7 part-time jobs for every 5 full-time lost. It looks good until you actually peel off the make-up.

...and let's not forget the unprecedented amount of public jobs which the republicans killed as well as the obstruction they presented to every stimulus and job creating plan by the President.  Without those two tea patty strategies,  We are probably at pre-Dubbs recession numbers.   Isn't it tiring to twist and turn at every positive indicator, every time Obama succeeds?

I get it you guys don't like his non-Anglo sounding name but I bet if you said it 100 times a day, you would get used to the way it sounds and then your body wouldn't have to suffer through the toxic flow of angry hormones every day.  You might live longer and be able to thwart for another couple years the imminent changing hue of our purple mountains and golden grains.

And the argument is over. Didn't take long for galy to admit defeat this time

Typical of his tactics. Throw out some bogus info. Then watch reality set in with facts to show how galy is wrong again. Galy is left with no defense other than to change the topic. Usually to race.

Galy, you are so predictable. Can't debate so you throw the race card. Sad.

On his back, kicking and screaming racism again. Can you ban someone for repeatedly calling everyone a racist? I find it incredibly offensive not to mention tiresome and racist and hateful in its own right.

Its one reason I hardly post anymore. There is no discourse of any kind worth engaging in.

No need to bother yourself, mohara. It's called projection, a practice by which the offender accuses others for that of which he is guilty. You see it all the time with these country club folk.

This is what Comrade does when he has no legitimate rebuttal.............

I'll bet Galen is sorry Hottbirdz isn't here as much anymore, now he's the dumbest guy in the room.

Seriously dude? non Anglo sounding names, toxic flow of angry hormones, changing hue of purple mountains and golden grains. THAT'S the best you got?

You been hitting the bong again Comrade??

You would have a point if the money government spends appear magically out of thin air, but so-called stimulus spending HURTS the economy by moving capital from more productive areas to much less productive ones (see almost anything the government spends money on).

Capitalism is the idea that free movement of capital will allow it to find its most productive uses.  Government borrowing or taxing to spend money for unnecessary things (things other than roads, defense, etc) is a much, much less productive use (in other words, government spending does not create wealth, that is done through private INVESTMENT).

I know those on the left don't buy this, but this was the idea of Adam Smith and what drove our economy while we climbed from a backwater British pack of colonies to the hegemonic economic powerhouse of the world.  As we move away from it we slowly are losing our edge.  That should be obvious but apparently it is not.

The numbers are in.  Numbers don't lie.  Largest sustained 6 month increase in employment since our last Democrat as President in 1997.  ....things that make you go hmmmmmmmmmmm.

Read them and weep fellas.  Sure you can talk about low wage jobs and "real unemployment" numbers but those numbers have always been there too for the Presidents with Anglo sounding names.  You don't think Reagan had a percentage of low wage jobs too?  You don't think during Bush there was the reported unemployment numbers as well as the "real unemployment"????

This is the way unemployment has always been reported.

Read 'em and weep.  Coming soon to an area near you...sub 6% unemployment.  Imagine if the Republicans tried to help???

The board racist is back. Touting low income numbers that keep the black man down and dependent on the gov.

So sad that galy is so excited to see minorities struggle.

For the $7 trillion this President has added to our national debt, we should at the very least have full employment, half the number of folks on public assistance, top notch roads and infrastructure, etc. We have nothing to show - nothing.

All of the bridges and roads have been fixed. That was the trillion dollar stimulus and the shovel ready jobs.
