Texans -vs- Ravens - Playoffs
On the road in Baltimore for Round 2 of the Playoffs. This one's gonna be tough. The Ravens are healthy and rested and will be playing at home in front of a rabid crowd. I always believe that if you're built to run the ball and play good defense like we are, you have a chance to be in every game. For example, just look at the..............uh.................Ravens. The Ravens are favored by 7 1/2 points. That sounds about right. We'll have to play a near perfect game to come into their house and beat them in a Playoff game with everything on the line. Here's hoping we can do just that..... Thoughts....

Re: Texans -vs- Ravens - Playoffs
It's going to be loud in Baltimore on Sunday. Probably not as loud as Reliant was against the Bengals since the Ravens have an open air stadium and we had the roof closed, but I'm sure it will be close. So far we've had no crowd noise issues on the road with Yates under center. Hopefully that continues on Sunday...... Just how loud was Reliant against the Bengals? That’s 118.3 decibels. Just how loud is this? It’s above the level of sandblasting and a loud rock concert, and just beneath the level at which pain begins. The level also exceeds safety levels specified by the Occupational Safety & Health Administration. The federal organization says a workplace is unsafe if employees are exposed to levels of 115 decibels for more than 15 minutes a day. I guess this made Reliant Stadium a hazardous workplace for the Bengals offense on Saturday.

Re: Texans -vs- Ravens - Playoffs
The last playoff game in Baltimore was against the Broncos in 2000, the year the Ravens won it all. It was beyond loud. The fans stood the entire game. They should drown out the commentators. Check the stats for the Ravens at home, and also coming off a bye. The Defense will be in playoff mode, its a wonderful thing to see. Cc

Cc I'm sure the crowd's gonna be jacked up and it's gonna be loud. Trust me, we know how good the Raven's defense is and that we'll have to play near perfect on offense to have a chance in this one. I also think our defense will play well against the Raven's offense though. It may come down to who can force the most turnovers.

Re: Texans -vs- Ravens - Playoffs
Thanks man. I thought we played pretty well on defense and Arian Foster had a nice day. Jacoby Jones had his worst game of the year at the worst possible time. His muffed punt that gave the Ravens the ball at the 2 yd line was a killer. Yates was good in spots but made too many rookie mistakes. Y'all took advantage of the turnovers, both forced and unforced. That's what good teams do.
Good luck the rest of the way.

It was a wild ride, Bubba. I'm disappointed that we won't be playing next week, but also proud of the way this team grew up this season. Hopefully next year we can stay a little healthier......

Re: Texans -vs- Ravens - Playoffs
Amazing. That game pretty much the way I thought it would with the Texans playing much closer than everyone anticipated but not having enough to get it done. The Texans were clearly the better team in all phases of the game except for turnovers. On the road in the playoffs, that gets you beat. Also amazing that the Ravens did not commit one penalty. In summary, the Ravens executed as flawless as a team could and still barely beat a team at home that most thought they would blowout. I'm disappointed in the outcome, but not in the Texans. I'm excited for 2012. The Texans defense is the next best thing in the NFL.
