Owen Daniels injured

Big loss.

He's likely done for the year with a ligament tear  in his knee. (ACL)

Joel Dreesen and James Casey have some huge shoes to try to fill.

I think Casey has a very similar skill set to Daniels, great hands and the ability to stretch the middle of the field.

He's a rookie though and is still pretty raw.

I think Anthony Hill may see some action as well......

Yep, it always seems we can never face the Colts with a loaded barrel.  Losing OD is huge.  He was so good at getting himself open in first down needed situations.  Casey and Dreesen are capable, but don't know that they have a knack for finding the open areas like OD does.  Hope he gets healed and hopefully the Texans don't jerk him around regarding his contract this offseason. He's earned a better contract in spite of his injury.

The week before we have to keep pace with Peyton freakin' Manning and we lose a key part of our passing game.  Someone's going to have to step up in a big way.

More bad news.....confused

Not only did we lose O.D. for the year but now they're reporting that James Casey will miss the Indy game.

He hurt his knee against Buffalo and had arthroscopic surgery today.

They hope he can return against Tennessee after the BYE.

Gonna be a whole lot of Joel Dreesen for awhile.

Losing Casey also means that we're down a good special teams player and our backup fullback as well......banghead
