The Chiefs placed S Jarrad Page on injured reserve on Wednesday. Page has played in 53 career games (39 starts) with the Chiefs, producing 204 tackles (179 solo), a sack (-3.0 yards), 10 INTs for 69 yards, 24 passes defensed, four forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and one QB pressure. When are we going to get some more info as to exactly why he was put on IR and if it was totally injury related??? Also how does signing a CB replace a S??

Over at the mothership the release says Daniels can play safety and CB. That is why they signed him. He also spent the entire camp w/ us and knows the calls. Under the circumstances, I would say  good move by Pioli.

Maurice Leggett is likely to see some safety time.  He did to some degree in college, and he's been getting some run there this week in practice from the little the media can tell.

Maurice Jones-Drew said in today's teleconference it was Jarrad Page's calf.

I would hope they value other positions higher than safety with a top-five pick.

Ya theyll value other positions if theyre worth it but if we have a top 5 pick and theres not an olineman worth it then take a S like Mays. I believe pioli will take Suh though

yeah, but if we can fill other needs in FA, maybe we can have the flexibility to go after a safety like Berry or Mays (i prefer Berry)

Safety is a pretty easy spot to fill in free agency.
