3 Days to Camp: WIll Tyler Bray Be KC's #2?

3 DAYS TO CAMP: TYLER BRAY

Its been a long time since the Kansas City Chiefs have attempted to groom a young quarterback. With Alex Smith entrenched as the teams starter for 2014, their are some young arms behind him. One of them, Tyler Bray, could become his primary back-up this season.

i hope he is. cut chase. we don't need 4 qb's. so if we keep chase that means they try to sneak somebody onto the practice squad. i don't want to risk one of the young kids getting snatched up by somebody else. chase brings nothing to the table. he is not the future so lets not risk somebody who could be the future over keeping chase as the back up for this year.

I'd bet the farm that we keep all four. Murray will be on IR. Daniel will be the #2 and Bray #3. Next year, we will see how these young guys develop. There will be no changes this year.

We might have caught a break with the retirement of gutless Kyle Orton. Dallas is a team that always wants an experienced, competent backup to Romo. They might be a team that would be willing to trade for Chase, if they're not happy with Weeden. Hopefully Andy is willing to deal him if they are looking for an experienced, competent backup, but I still think ultimately Bray will be #3, and Murray will be IR'd.

I'm not so sure I'd label Chase as an experienced, competent backup.  I know what your intent is, and of course that is how I would sell him if Dallas were shopping, but he hasn't proven much in my opinion.  If keeping him inthe #2 spot, just to say he is our #2 guy and therefore might have a better opportunity of moving him.....then I say go ahead and label him #2.  One could only hope that Bray has straightened up his maturity issues, because he has the cannon to open a field.......not that we have the speed at WR to expose a D, but still......it would be nice to know that we could be considered a deep ball threat team at any given moment and I think Bray could bring that element to the offense.

Gotta admit Daniels answered the bell@SD, but his future was at stake. Chiefs have a happy problem w\BUs.

I agree Daniel SHOULD be propped up as legit BU

I wouldn't exactly say that. Between Avery, Jenkins, and the Wilson kid I would think that we have plenty of speed to take the top off a Defense.
