Its Dorsey and Reids club now

Just saw amazing number where only 16 of the 89 players on the current roster are Pioli or Peterson players...these guys came here to team build and unfortunately right now that means more purging. But at least they are going to sink or swim with their own guys and not just throw band aids at the roster.

I have a feeling they intend to swim.  Long distance.

All the players are their own guys, I don't think any GM would care about the origins of a player as long as he's not vocally against him.

If you don't count, Charles, Hali, Colquitt and Bowe, only 12 players are left from the Pioli regime which was ONLY 1 and a half off-seasons ago. That is crazy! and a big indictment on how poor of an evaluator Pioli was/is.

Our win and loss record during his time here reflected that also!!

Pioli drafted quite a bit of talent. His problem was trusting in Cassel so much and more importantly not letting his coaches do their jobs.

Pioli was a very average drafter. He had a few homeruns and some good players who are good in roles, with a whole lot of average and bad players mixed in. Among his homeruns are Justin Houston, Eric Berry, and Dontari Poe. Whole lot of busts in there as well including most of the 2009 class save for about 2 of them. I agree though to an extent. Pioli had other issues that were a lot worse than his drafting that caused issues throughout the whole organization. It was a systemic problem that could only be fixed by doing a complete overhaul of the organization and Clark understood that. That said, one of the biggest issues I had with Pioli's drafting it that it seemed to lack any apparent direction. Our identity on those teams were a mystery and it was unclear what kind of player we were looking for. Under Reid and Dorsey we have a clear identity and a clear direction. We know exactly what kind of player we are looking for.
