Kelly Tilghman puts about 10 feet in her mouth...

Wow. One of the dumbest things I've ever heard. I met her at the NEC Tournament at Sahalee in 2003, tried to compliment her work on the Golf Channel just to be nice, and she sneered at me and walked away. That network went way downhill when they lost Scott Van Pelt to ESPN.

Golf Channel anchor Kelly Tilghman has apologized after saying during Friday's telecast of the PGA Tour's opening event that today's young players should "lynch Tiger Woods in a back alley."

Wow...  Really?

So at no time did his Duke grad think that a joke about lynching a black man would be anywhere close to funny or acceptable?

If it wasn't for the wind in my face, I couldn't fly at all.

Yea, that's what I was thinking too!  I heard she apologized, but dang, that is quite a story, Doug!

I'm never watching the racist golf channel again.... of course I never watched it in the first place since golf is boring.

My opinion is that this lady should be fired NOW. What if Johnny Miller had said this on a tv broadcast? I guaran-dam-tee you he would have been fired by the end of the day. 2 week suspension? Is that going to make her any less of an idiot? My guess is... no.

Tiger's agent said they both he (the agent) and Tiger think it's a "non-issue."

Basically, Tiger takes the high road and goes about his business.  They're supposed to be "friends," so he's allowing this to slide, but I think Tiger is not one to draw even more attention to himself.  He'd rather let his game speak in its place.

Kudos to Tiger for being a bigger person; shame on Golf Channel for not acting until almost a week later.

Is "Boycott the Golf Channel" an oxymoron?

Indeed!  Just another example of why Tiger is the man!  He's so frickin' awesome at what he does, completely owns his competition, is a multi-bazillionare, and yet you never see him being a douche like a lot of other big sport clownshoes idiots.  He's cool, collected, polite and very savvy in all his dealings.

All the more reason I love to watch him absolutely destroy the field week after week after week.  I don't watch golf, nor do I particularly like it, but I do watch Tiger Woods when he's doin' his thing.
