Go back to the eval value chart I posted earlier. You guys can use Newbergs rankings as well as those charts to see where the Hawks are finding draft value.

Re: Draft day, and "here Wego"......

Last yr we where able to see into the Seahawks Draft room both online and on NFL Network. This yr they say on NFL Network they will have 17 war rooms on camera. I have not heard Seattle's name on this list. Is this because we have no 1st round pick? And does anyone know if Seahawks.com will have a camera in the war room?
"GO SEAHAWKS"

Tru's little brother Desmond had a nice day going at number 22 to the Falcons.

Also, there was no RB taken in the entire first round! At least one running back has been drafted in the first round of every NFL Draft since 1963.

How many do evaluations on the same player... and why are they doing evaluations this late in the game?  Shouldn't those have been done days ago... at the latest?  What's the purpose of asking you to do evaluations at this point?  I don't get it.
I would imagine the Seahawks would be ecstatic to land any one of 5 or 6 (remaining) players on that list at 56.  3 of them already selected in the 1st round.

Re: Draft day, and "here Wego"......

Players can slide to later rounds. Their initial value still exists, but if they should not be selected at their projected rank, their value can rise or fall. Everything is in a state of flux on draft days. These players were all evaluated weeks ago, but many can move based on if a team drafts for need, or BPA.
If a player ranked at say, 22 slides to 32, he is shown at the lower value, but the difference is the +/- value. If that player later is traded or out performs, under performs his pick up value, teams can adjust trades, money or picks based on their value at the time. You always need to know the players physical condition prior to putting up the card. Usually, before the announcement of their selection, a phone call is made to the player, if not at RCMH, to ask how he's doing, and let him know that he's being selected. This is when their value is finalized. You want to make sure that he hasn't strained a muscle, torn a ligament, wrenched a back, etc.
Any one of those factors could mean the difference from taking him in that round, pushing him to a lower round, or not selecting him at all and going with option B. there are always more that one player being considered at every pick, just in case.

The reason we do draft day re projections is that there was a possibility that any of those players could slide and become available to us at 56. Some teams will draft for need vs. BPA. , therefore, The BPA could slide out of his position. If attractive enough of a prospect, the Hawks could have traded up to take a particular player.
