Someone is drafting this guy way too high. Mike Mamula anyone?

He's projected right around seattle's pick. He would be an excelent pic for the hawks being they suck at rushing the qb.

Ran a good 40, will probably be gone by Seattle's pick.
How about Margus Hunt?

Margus Hunt, 6'8 ,277,bench press 225 38 times, ran a 4.60 40,had a 34.5 inch vertical. The guy is a physical beast, he originally went to smu to throw discus and the football team got ahold of him.

The talk of the combine. SMU defensive end Margus Hunt was the talk of the town following his impressive performance. Hunt had a lot of momentum heading into the field-testing, following an impressive weigh-in (6-foot-8 1/8, 277 pounds) and bench press (38 reps of 225). He then proceeded to wow scouts by running a 4.60 40 and posting a 34.5-inch vertical jump. Hunt is very raw on tape, but his size and upside will likely force him up into the bottom of the second round.

He absolutely dominated his Bowl Game. It was crazy. Tons of upside, huge guy, a definite Seahawk type player.

Re: Ezekiel Ansah.. This guy looks like a steal in the draft

Ansah will be off the board before we pick and hunt is a real project with very limited football knowledge. I think we need to address DL in free agency and rounds 2-5 in the draft. Desmond Bryant DT, William Hayes DE and possibly Osi Umenyiora DE (on a short term deal) head my list. There are other cap casualties and scheme change victims that could fill a role on the cheap as well but the next few weeks will sort that out. Jones or Branch or both coming back is also a necessity.

That would free us up at 25 to take a luxury pick, trade back to acquire more picks(if the qb class gets snubbed by the top 12 teams early) or take the BPA no matter position. Personally I would love Tavon Austin to fall in our laps at 25 and exercise the luxury pick option. This guy is a matchup nightmare and that is lacking in our offense. Rd. 2 Zavier Gooden/Sio Moore wlb Rd 3 Corey Lemoniere DE  Rd 4 Best RT on the board  Rd 5a Chris Gragg TE  5b Cornellius Washington DE (depending on ufa signings) or Matt Scott QB (depending on Flynn trade).

We are in an arms race with the 49ers & Rams folks and just trying to shore up holes in our defense through the draft isn't gonna be good enough. We need to be aggressive yet smart in FA and look for playmakers in the draft. A big FA WR on the cheap (Ramses Barden) and nickle corner may also be in order. No matter how you slice it there is alot of work to be done to take this division but I for one am pumped up to get it started.excited
