Erlacher looks old, and Cutler is, well, Cutler. The Hawks haven't done so well on the road, but I'm feeling like there is a new northwestern wind a blowin. Chicago doesn't have any real standout playmakers but they seem to find a way to win. Chicago is willing to give up the short pass, so I think if we can just keep the chains moving, we can leave the Windy City wit a hash mark in the win column.

Is anyone else concerned about our defense faltering in the second half of the season?
We started out so well, and now, we aren't. Pete says that it's just a loss of focus for a young team. I'm not so sure.
We'll be without a few key defensive starters this week, so this will be a make or break game for a wild card spot.

We need the defense to step up big time. I'm worried about some players, but I think they will be up to the challenge to beat Chicago. A win is important and we need to keep pushing and fighting to get a playoff berth sealed up. Our guys can't faltered now.

It's Sunday morning, and I still don't feel any better about our defense.

Our offense is the biggest question in my opinion. Tate, Edwards and Lynch have to have " pro bowl " performances today. I expect that Wilson will be harassed early and often by the Bears defense. But, to put this into perspective, the Bears, like us, are only one game over .500. This makes this game more evenly matched than the prospective team records would indicate. I have my Tums and Maloxx at the ready should the Hawks and my stomach both sour.
