Hmmmm.....check out Stephen's Jones on Sunset Strip

He had to know that big ass bus would draw all kind of attention........but then again that may have been ideal.
JERRY JONES' SON HEY LADIES, LET'S PARTY ON MY COWBOYS BUS!! 8/6/2014 7:20 AM PDT  BY TMZ STAFF EXCLUSIVE The  Dallas Cowboys  finally played like champs last night -- not on a football field, but on the Sunset Strip ... where  Jerry Jones ' son parked a giant team bus outside a nightclub and proceeded to pull a bunch of hot chicks. None of the Cowboys players were there, but  Stephen Jones  -- Jerry's son and the team's Director of Player Personnel -- led what appeared to be a group of team staffers into Bootsy Bellows nightclub. Training camp is about 90 minutes north of L.A. ... so looks like they were taking a party break. Stephen didn't have anything to say about the big Cowboys news yesterday -- an alleged extortion plot involving pics of his father with two women. But the best part of this clip ... is the scene ON the bus after they leave the club. The Cowboys staff is holding court with a bevy of club chicks ... the shades come down, and then the bus pulls out. By the way, they did have a guide -- FOX Sports'  Jay Glazer , who definitely knows his way around Hollywood hot spots (we see him out a lot in the off-season). How 'bout dem Cowboys! video/#ixzz39dmnD1BJ

really the "club chicks" disappoint every time.  they are a bunch of hoes.  i don't know of anyone that could say that he fell in love with a chick that he met at a club.  club chicks, pure trash.  that's why i'm so happy with my wife that i met at a bar instead.

Jr. is coming off the bus going into the club. Funny seeing a bunch of those guys putting their hand over their face as they come off the steps--then sprint for the club. Like that's going to prevent a pic.

If you look at the habits of successful people you won't see the words "party bus" anywhere in the description.  And they probably aren't getting pictures of themselves made where they look much the worse for wear with women they aren't married to.  If you want to enjoy the rich club owner lifestyle, go ahead and do just that.  But if you're serious about running the front office of an NFL club get your head screwed on straight and put in the time and effort it takes to be successful.  This stuff just plays into the perception that while the rest of the NFL teams have a front office which is driven to win and accountable for results the Cowboys are just a hobby for some rich guys.

I doubt, seriously doubt that either Stephen or his Dad would be dumb enough to let a picture like that be taken. In the span of two days, we have seen pics of jerry and now stephen.

Come on

If you bought the New York Yankees tomorrow you would be on the Forbes list.  Likewise, if you buy the Cowboys you are buying an iconic brand.  Give Jones credit, he marketed it well.  But, seriously, is there anyone who is a fan of any other NFL team that has to pull out the Forbes magazine argument to defend the front office?  You know what, if I want to pull for a Fortune 500 company I'll watch CNBC on Sunday afternoon.  But I don't care, nor can I understand why on the face of the earth any football fan would, how much the team is worth.  The net worth of the team has something to do with Jones, but it has a lot more to do with the best fans in the NFL.  Fans who are good enough, loyal enough, to continue to hang around a circus and not complain about the stink of the elephants.  Forbes Magazine?  Really.

Sort of like why any fan would give a rat's butt abut what they do in their free time. At least the value of the team has something to do with football.

Re: Hmmmm.....check out Stephen's Jones on Sunset Strip

The perception, and it has been stated by people with NFL experience, is that the Cowboys are a country club organization.  But maybe I'm overstating the case.  I'm sure I can easily open a newspaper, look on the internet, or turn on a sports TV broadcast and find all kinds of pictures and reporting on the top two guys in various NFL front offices engaged in the sort of things the Jones guys have been up to.  Maybe none of it does matter.  But ask yourself, if you owned a business would you want these guys running it?

After watching it a few times, it looks like bachelor party. The girl points toward the camera filming and he leans back to be out of view. Then a girls gets up looking to lower the blind. He is allowed to party!

For the last year the numbers are available every team in the NFL but one posted a profit.  The value of a team has something to do with football, but specifically with the popularity of football.

So you seem to not think much of Jones as a businessman.

I tend to not think much of your ability to spot good businessmen.

Re: Hmmmm.....check out Stephen's Jones on Sunset Strip

I would not disagree with your calling him a good businessman.  But why do Cowboy fans always get pulled into discussions of Forbes magazine and "brands" when discussing the front office, while fans of other teams evaluate their favorite team's front office based on the product on the field?  If the Cowboys were getting the job done between the goal lines we wouldn't be talking about what kind of businessman Jones is.  And if being a good businessman meant you would be a good NFL GM then maybe we should be hiring Bill Gates to run the Cowboys.  The one thing has nothing to do with the other.  Winners talk football, losers talk balance sheets.

Re: Hmmmm.....check out Stephen's Jones on Sunset Strip

Anyone who thinks this doesn't happen with other teams are fooling themselves. They all do this sort of thing. The difference? The bus.

Its no secret the Cowboys get far more media attention than any other team. The spotlight is always on them. Their front office personnel are more visible than any other team in the league. It shouldn't be a shock that people notice when they do this. Just don't pretend like other teams don't do the same. They do.
