Its funny. Because for the first time in a long time, I think Jerry is slowly and quietly starting to run this team the right way.

Agree 100%.  I am entirely satisfied that he's done everything that can reasonably be done this offseason.  Releasing Ware had to be a bitter pill to swallow, especially since the easy thing to do would have been to restructure the contract.  He could've re-signed an aging and except for one lights out season Jason Hatcher.  He's obviously seen the OL light and has put prime resources into building that into possibly the league's best.  Sure there are still holes.  But I like the process Jerry and his team have put into action to fill them.  Patience is the key here.

A second reason why this isn't a big thing is because Gregg Doyel is literally brain dead.

And we care what Gregg Doyel says, why?

If the guy actually had anything to say besides "Look at me, I'm calling owners of teams FOOLS **snicker, snicker**," then this article might have more merit.

You have to have some level of stupidity to call someone a self-made billionaire and a fool in the same sentence. Break it down, talk about it, but I have a hard time calling anyone a "fool" who self-made themselves a billion dollars. Sounds like a very smart man who made foolish choices, but not a "fool."

I swear, so many journalists have descended into TMZ level click bait and desperate dramatics so they can get their 24-hour cycle on sports programming before they return to relative obscurity.

Fool may not be the right word, but a truly massive ego that has refused to believe that he's made so many poor choices?

Hoping that maybe, just maybe he's finally figuring out that success in the oil industry doesn't translate to the NFL and he'll get some people around him that aren't all yes men to help him get this once glorious team back on top.

McClary the answer? Hope so... we'll see

Well, for one, Gregg Doyel obviously knows a great deal about football.  He attended college at the University of Florida, where he was a sports writer for the Independent Florida Alligator.  Before his current position as a National Columnist for CBS, he was the site's college basketball writer.

Compare that to the insignificant football background of JJ who was only an all-Southwest Conference offensive lineman and Co-Captain of the 1964 National Champion Arkansas Razorback football team--before making a billion in the oil patch.

Imagine that. And all this time i thought it had to do with being in cap hell and being forced into making smarter decisions. By golly we got a brand new Jerry!

Its long been discussed that this "cap hell" thing has been far overblown.

According to this particular brand of logic Matt Millen was the best General Manager in the history of the NFL, because he actually played for many years in the NFL.

Didn't quite turn out that way did it?

Must be lonely being the only one around here ragging on Jerry after he's clearly made strides over the last five years...

Wrong.

Feel free to consult the new board admin about the whole "cap hell" garbage that gets thrown out by BSPN every year about the Cowboys.

You're brilliant, you know that? Did I say "great shape"? No.

I said the "cap hell" thing is overblown. Just because I said that doesn't mean I affirmed that our status was the exact opposite.
