Josh Adams commits to ND

RB from PA.

ND will still probably take 1 more in Soso or Tyson Williams want to come. My guess is they add Williams to the class as well.

You have RB, But I see he is listed as a 3 star CB.

Okay, I went on my twitter account and seen a tweet from another source that has Josh Adams as a 4 star RB.

Funny that one site list him as a 3 star cb committed to ND, and a couple others have him as a 4 star RB that committed to ND.

Re: Josh Adams commits to ND

ive been keeping positive and  trusting kelly and the staffs ability to evaluate talent and develop that talent especially while we have seen the job that teams like stanford michigan state and even oregon have done recruiting 3 star guys who fit there system and developing them. However when we are on the eve of losing tough battles for two 5 star kids and its to urban and ohio state it is hard to get excited about this kid. I am looking forward to seeing if we won the boykin battle. With all the hilliard and cornell talk the fact that hes announceing wednesday to has been ignored a bit.

Yea ND is recruiting him as a RB. He was apparently rated highly as a RB after his Soph season but tore his ACL and his stock fell after that. Need to take 2-3 RBs in this class.

I think Boykin is all ND.

Adams is a top 20 RB in the class. He's a good player, just not at Folston or Bryant's level.

Yeah Im not really liking this pick up.  Hes almost six foot three which Is kinda tall for a RB and the staff wants him playing at 230 pounds.  Yet his strongest point to his game Is his elusiveness.....yeah good luck with that..  He Is also listed as a patient runner which hasnt worked out for us lately.  The backs who hit the hole right away are the ones who thrive In college.  Seems like he Is better fit at LB than RB, but Im not a D1 coach either.  No impressive offers.  Comes from a state with not much competition.   Argue with me If you want to waste your time but this kid looks like filler to me.

Why don't we give our recruits a chance to perform before we rip them on the internet.

Re: Josh Adams commits to ND

Nobody ripped him.  People are entitled to their opinion of a player based on information we have been given.

Seriously If people really expect people to not talk about a recruit and their opinion of them then why even create a recruiting site?  Dont like what your reading...then scroll on.

Re: Josh Adams commits to ND

My guess is they told him he will have a chance to play RB, but in reality is an athlete recruit who could end up at WR or more likely at OLB.

You just do not see many 6'3 RB's making it at the college or pro level. IIRC GA3 was nearly 6'3 and was an easy target for tacklers.

I agree! Seems like the kid can play multiple positions! I do seem to recall a kid named Anthony Barr with similar size and speed at RB and ended up doing pretty well at OLB:)
