RE: So Motta...
I'm shocked by that. Not by the 40 time, of course Motta is huge. Very strange, maybe a shoulder injury, or I hope so grapie wrote: Really surprised by the 11 reps.

Re: So Motta...
The 11 reps surprised me as well. 4.75 sounds about right and any team that runs a cover 2 should take a hard look at him with that time.
I dont think either hurts him or helps him.

Re: So Motta...
I wouldnt be as worried about the bench. Its certainly low, but some guys just are not strong with bench press. I dont think there is any doubting that Motta is jacked, but some people just arent built to be great bench pressers.
The 40 time is worrisome, especially since his 2nd time he ran a 4.78, which is really bad since no other S prospect ran in the 4.7s

RE: So Motta...
I wouldn't be surprised to see him drop out of the draft, get picked up as an UDFA, and then moved to OLB.

RE: So Motta...
the BP is biased towards people with long arms, long bodies... Eifert did 22, OL/DL..... Brady Quinn, lol, tend to, or are expected to, get bigger numbers.

RE: So Motta...
bench press is more chest than arms so just cause you have big arms doesnt mean ur gonna rack up huge numbers on bench. tyrone70 wrote: The kid has arms bigger than ppls legs. I'm shocked he tested so poorly

I could rep 225 11x as a junior in high school. I was 6' 165 at the time...not so much now at 43 (tomorrow) because I don't work out like that any more Domer4Eva wrote: 11 reps?!! BQ was a physical specimen. I cant remember his reps but he beat out most of the lineman that year In the bench press. NDFB4life wrote: weak and weak....the kid can play though
