2014 Recruiting class 5 Stars???

Just was looking into J.Peppers when I starting thinking...where did we stand with the top prospects this time last year???

2013 --- Jaylon and anyone else we were high with that was 5* caliber (Elmer? McQuay? Treadwell?)

2014 looks like Peppers, Sony, Hood, Tony Brown, Lazard, KC McDermott, anyone else???

Only 12 5* so far for 2014, but a few a ND is really after.
5* OT Braden Smith
5* RB Sony Michel (Deeb's teammate)
5* ATH Michiah Quick (Fresno)

Other guys who could be 5* ND is after:
-FL DT Khairi Clark
-MI DE Malik McDowell
-NV RB Nathan Starks (Bishop Gorman)
-NJ CB Jabrill Peppers

RE: 2014 Recruiting class 5 Stars???

Per rivals (who I lean towards as far as rankings along with 247) 5 stars with offers from the Irish- #2 Peppers, #3 Fournette, #4 Blanding, #5 Michel, #9 Lorenzo Carter, #12 Elijah Hood, and #13 Tony Brown. 5 stars with legitimate interest as of right now- Peppers, Blanding, Michel, and Hood, maybe Carter

I could see landing Peppers, Michel, Hood, and Blanding.... that's a lot of 5 stars, and pretty early to make claims as landing them, but ND likes their chances with Peppers and Hood, a bunch of the VA prospects which includes Blanding, and I just think that with Bryant locked up in this class, that we'll have a good shot at Michel.

     Think Michel stays south.

Not an expert at all. But, It looks like there are some ideal sized athletes In this 2014 class with some very impressive stats, especially considering they havent even hit the summer before their senior year yet.  Could this class be one of the deepest and most talented classes heading into the future?

ND's best shots are with Hood, Michel, Peppers, Adoree Jackson (when offered) and DeShawn Hand

Edit: This is who I think will end up 5 star here and are 5 star elsewhere

Good thing we got EV at the end! This class looks light on top-level DT/SS-end types

RE: 2014 Recruiting class 5 Stars???

As usual how the kids/positions are rated by Scout is still is a mystery to me...
ND has 2 offers out to S's who are rated in the top 10 at the S pos. yet are 3 stars.
Yet a CB rated at #14/15 at CB is a 4 star.

Michiah Quick may be our best chance outside of Hood. And Malik McDowell. Both are or will be 5 stars on at least 1 site.

RE: 2014 Recruiting class 5 Stars???

Other than his uncle coaching there, he has no connection to PITT or that area. PITT isn't pulling the #1 QB out of Stanford's backyard, especially when his dad coaches right down the street. Just waiting to see if he's on track to qualify before committing.

RE: 2014 Recruiting class 5 Stars???

Your response is just dumb.   Other then being from the Bay Area does Chryst have a connection to Stanford?   Seriously his uncle being the head coach of Pitt is a big enough connection.    Granted the Stanford Harbaugh connection might be tough to beat.  But Pitt will offer 4 years of immediate PT.
