RE: Cole Luke wins Ed Doherty Award

BREAKING NEWS: LUMBERGH DECLARES HE'S A FRONTRUNNER!

ENORMOUS LUMBERGH RESPONSE TO FOLLOW, RIGHT AFTER THIS!

(DISCLAIMER: Hey hey, just having fun now.  I kinda sorta get it.  Not really, but I know you're not a frontrunner.)

lumbergh wrote: I grew up passionately pro-ND and not giving a damn either way about State.  While attending State, I would often leave games in the second half to go watch ND on TV.

I have always rooted for ND over State with the exception of this season.  Other subway alums might understand based on MSU's recent improvement prior to 2012 and the fact that ND had sucked (relative to history) since about 1993.  Another part of my very brief switch of allegiance had to do with the fact that culturally (aside from football), I do prefer Michigan State.

Even this year, in September, my heart and mind were about 51% pro-MSU and 49% pro-ND.

Based on recent football results and the fact that I prefer the company here to the handful of posters at the MSU board (at least as long as ND fans have less to bitch about), it would be fair to say I'm back to being an ND fan first and foremost.

Of course, I'll always love and follow MSU.

p.s.  My interest in State currently also has to do with the fact that Andrew Maxwell played for my high school, which happens to be literally in my backyard.  Of course, so did Steve Elmer, so now that situation has more or less evened up.

You are, admittedly, pretty much split between MSU and ND as gas as football fandom goes (correct me if I am misunderstood).

Has the time you spent on this site increased your appreciation for ND or has it not changed much?

PROUDLY REPPING...

Frontrunner for what?  If it's the papacy, I could definitely "improve" a thing or two.

I do favor mysticism, Eastern or otherwise.  We should have a football/meditation board.

We might be strange, but probably not any more so than my older brother - football coach/vegetarian.  eek1

Hunter didn't dig on flesh, huh?  Too bad for him.  His partner was a tasty treat.

And for the young people who don't get the reference here is Mike Post's theme.  (Yes, the same guy did the music for every single TV show in the 80's.)
