I hope they are. If Brindza gets hurt we're looking at preferred walk-on true FR to handle the kicking duties.

so?   they are specialists.  they kick balls. 

no need to keep tausch.  If I were him i would transfer to Kansas and play the whole season.  then go to the NFL or canadian leagues.... he is a good kicker.

I'd rather not be relying on a true FR to get FGs at the end of tight games. The scholarship is there, why not give it to him?

Maybe it's best for HIM to move on, but it's best for Notre Dame to consider keeping a seasoned back up, just in case.

Nichols may not be 100.0% officially done, but you can maybe put him down as 99.9%.

My main concern would be the sanity of posters quite unlike Remmuh - those who not only believe kicks are important, but that every missed FG is a sign of utter incompetence.
