Re: How good was EG against 'Bama? Best offense ever in '13!

Re: How good was EG against 'Bama? Best offense ever in '13!

I want to see Kelly get the ball to playmakers in space. I'm sick of abysmal YAC numbers. It feels like all of our receptions last year were hitches or jump balls.

Into Golson's second year hopefully we will see more crossing routes over the middle. It seemed that he rarely attacked the middle of the field. I don't know if it was by design or that he couldn't see the options.

I just want to see Neal running wild.

Frankly, I want to see us never have to throw. Ever.

A. I want a boring, methodical offense that just imposes it's will on the other team by sheer force of running the ball.

Yes, it's not flashy, but is is absolutely demoralizing to the opposing team when they know you're running, but can't stop it.

B. It means are likely winning!

Our YACs were fine.  Yes, we need to go over the middle, but that will come.  In a SPREAD offense, it's imperative to wheel it out to the sidelines so the defense stretches, which opens up running lanes for a rushing attack.  And if we have the talent to win with jump balls, go for it...the NY Giants have won a couple super bowls doing that.

I also think we're severely understimating our returning RB talent.  The new guys will be amazing in time, but don't discount what we have in GAIII, Carlisle, Mahone, and McDaniel.  Bryant will likely get into the rotation, while Folston may want to redshirt.

Yeah I can't diagree there. I think with the hog mollys Kelly has coming in combined with the vets, you might get your wish ( to a degree). But we gotta keep those TEs happy, you know to keep the tradition of TE U !

i agree with this. but i don't think that we're gonna do this to 'bama any time soon. golson was able to exploit 'bama's defense, though, so i'm cool with having a smart, dynamic qb for the next few years that can be a deadly weapon against even the best defenses, and i think that golson can be just that, especially as our offense continues to evolve.

i agree that we have very good rbs. last year, everyone was complaining about the running backs that we had coming back, too. i think it's been the same for years, actually. i really like our rbs for next season.
