Having said that, Manti was a once in a generation intangibles guy, so don't expect that particular kind of leadership from anyone on the roster. Losing Kappy and Cave hurts as well.

I think that Jaylon can and will take over that leadership mantle by his sophomore yr..  If not by the end of his freshman yr..  Just look at how this kid brought this whole class together..  Going out of his way sometimes to make sure that he recruits other top athletes to the IrishMob..  This kid is special.. And I for one can definitely see him being just as big as an impact in the leadership department as Manti did..

Interesting, hadn't considered EV as an option for DE this year, but that makes sense.  They want to keep rotating and right now we have 4 very good players for 3 spots, PLUS EV.  Makes sense for EV to split his time between DE and NT.
