Re: Redshirt

This is a complete shake up of the line.  I guess anything is possible, but Martin and Watt are 5th years and if we are bringing them back I believe it will be because they bring experience to a position that lacks it. I don't understand shaking up the whole line for Stanley just so he can be the LT.  He can play RT and move Lombard inside, and switch him to LT in 2014.  Its easier to move left or Right than inside or outside. IMO.

I believe Bivin will move inside with Montelus probably center where he got action at the Army AA game.

Depth Chart going into next season could look a lot like this:
QB Golson
RB Atkinson III/ Carlisle/ Bryant
WR Daniels
WR Jones
WR Neal
TE Niklas/ Koyack
LT Martin (locked up)
RT Lombard or Stanley
LG  Watt (locked up)
RG Hanratty or Lombard
C N. Martin / Hegarty (injury will likely keep Hegarty off field another year, and The Martin Factor... Both Brothers on the OL at same time makes for good story lines.)

I think the battle next season on the OL will be whether Stanley or Hanratty makes a case to play immediately.  Obviously they both play different positions.  Lombard has the versatility to play inside as well as out, so I could see him moving inside to make room for Stanley,

LT Martin, LG Watt, C N. Martin, RG Lombard, RT Stanley

or staying where he is for Hanratty.

LT Martin, LG Watt, C N Martin, RG Hanratty, RT Lombard

I believe that Martin and Watt will not come off the field.  Elmer will not keep his eligibility and will be hard to keep off the field, and Hegarty depending on injury will get some reps.

If Hegarty is ok then Bivin would likely Redshirt, McGovern and McGlinchey would also likely Redshirt.  Montelus will go on the two deep at Guard behind Watt and probably lose his eligibility as well.

OL are typically late bloomers and could use a redshirt, but taking 5 has me believeing we will need to put a few into action next season.  Elmer and Montelus will see time is my prediction.

Re: Redshirt

I remember Watt stating he would like to play Center, Zach is projected a Guard at the next level. Would not be shocked at the move. Watt would be very Cave like at Center and helping Golsen reading the defense.
