Re: 2014!!!!!
By position, where do you think our needs are at? What is the break down by position? I know CBK said his focus is always OL and DL. Just curious to see everyones break down. Here is mine: | QB | 1 | | RB | 1 | | WR | 3 | | TE | 1 | | OL | 4 | | DT | 1 | | DE | 4 | | LB | 4 | | CB | 3 | | S | 2 | | ST | 1 |

Re: 2014!!!!!
I wasn't aware Drake Harris had reopened his recruitment. If I was a WR, MSU would be very attractive, but I just hope he either stays with them or heads to ND. I hear he's a phenomenal playmaker/athlete.

?????? What? Why would MSU be a great place for a receiver? I can't even name one from last season
Plax was a long time ago and hey don't have a QB

RE: 2014!!!!!
Charles Rogers! Andre Rison!
MSU seems more like a ground and pound team now.

Re: 2014!!!!!
First, I disagree a bit with Seattle on Maxwell. Second, MSU has always been a ground a pound team, but that doesn't change the fact that they've put out more top players at WR over the years than any other position. Anyways, I wasn't referring to any of that. I was alluding to the fact that their WR's are the worst I have ever seen. Playing time and opportunity to be featured. That was my point. **Also note Maxwell will be gone before Harris enrolls anywhere. PotentialProphet wrote: --------------------------------------------- --- lumbergh wrote:

Re: 2014!!!!!
Lol, I was wondering if there was a different way on interpreting your posts. Your mind is not easy to adjust to. I agree, and they did sign a 4 star QB that looks good. Hell, I would just start him now or sit him for 1 year and try to recruit some stud WR. They don't have much to lose. One year they look unstoppable, Heisman candidate, B1G champ game, could have gone to a BCS, Beat Georgia. ....next year, they go 6-6 and got lucky at that. No one on their team can catch or throw beyond their TE. They put all their eggs in the RB basket and teams just loaded the box. Stinks for them. I like it when they are competitive and beating Michigan. lumbergh wrote: First, I disagree a bit with Seattle on Maxwell. RE: 2014!!!!!
I really would like to see us grab a top DE and DB this year. I am also interested to see how we do in Oh this year against Urban and if we can pull a few more out of the SW and SE with the new agreements and neutral site games to emphasize.

Re: 2014!!!!!
Feel free to play with my antennae. As it was they were very competitive in all games but one, and Michigan was one of several teams fortunate to pull out a victory. Ain't no big cause for concern in Spartyland. PotentialProphet wrote: Lol, I was wondering if there was a different way on interpreting your posts.

Re: 2014!!!!!
I know the math may not agree with my prediction now, but I say we end up taking more than 20. Maybe 22-23.
I figure if by the end we are in the running for some top players, they will make room for them.

We will see how it all plays out. Towards the end of recruitment there will be some names not even on our list now considering us. sixtyheim wrote: As far as how 247sports lists the recruits lists. A few notes on who is in the lead group for some of our targets
