so usc had a pretty good signing day

so usc had a pretty good signing day

Usc got quinton powell and nico falah, then they were very successful is losing out on a'shawn robinson, jason hatcher, matthew thomas, jalen ramsey, kylie fitts, torrodny prevot, tyree and tyrell robinson. add that to having max redfield and sebastian larue decomitting earlier. I would say that usc fans are probably pretty happy right now. If we get vanderdoes there might be more police calls than usual in the great area surrounding their campus.

Buckeye, I believe due to your handle and low post count here, I had derided you a bit as something other than a true ND fan.  Apologies if I was wrong.  Nothing wrong with cheering for ND and another school if that's the case.  biggrin

And in Lane's final minutes, he tried to steal a recruit from Washington, and got a ''no thanks''...

YES!

Thank you for the compliment. More of a notre dame fan than ohio state, just the circumstances of getting the handle. I am a high schooler in southern california and I hate usc with a passion, everyone around me is a snob who are usc fans who can't name three people on the team. So notre dame is better in every way

I missed high scool and  because tarean folston and eddie vanderdoes are more important to me than ap tests on world war I and evolution.

Evolution, really - can you tell me how we Catholics feel about evolution?  There is no AP class on either WWI or Evolution as a subject...but History and Biology might cover it.  Can you tell me what the Church says about Genesis, Adam and Eve and Evolution?

Dude get lost. This is a sports board. That was a throw away line and you're trying to make a big deal out of nothing. Go back to your own board and continue the circle jerk.

In reality, man, they didn't REALLY sign a great class.  They signed ONE offensive lineman, and ZERO TE's.

Not sure how competitive they'll be for quite some time.  They really need a new coach.

We are decently deep in OL for now and loaded with TE's.

Our 12 kids yesterday, did you see the Star Count? We have to say quality over quantity cause SC has no choice.

Glad to see we are still relevant to be talked about.

P.S. We return a bunch of kids off last years team and a new DC who understands the concept of a blitz, why you think SC won't be competitive, that's puzzles me. I get depth is an issue, but we bring back a lot. The QB development will be the biggest mystery of all.

Tay, is the lack of  TE going to hurt? I saw Pomlee was arrested.

OL Commits since CLK took over, not sure if all of these guys are still around, but here is what $C signed:

2010 - 1
2011 - 6
2012 - 4
2013 - 2

Bottom line is, you guys have good players, but what we've known all along since the sanctions came down, is that scholarship restrictions were going to hurt your depth in the future.  The future, meaning last season and this coming season, because you slow-burned by getting the bowl bans out of the way while appealing, thus turning an incredibly painful 3 year process into a back-loaded 5 year process.  Injuries and competitive practices make or break a team's NC run, and that is your team's big problem right now.  Add to that, you have a terrific recruiting head coach, but his player development has been less than stellar, and he has alienated himself from the media who will surely hound him until they fire him at some point within the next 12 months.

To be fair, ND got a bit lucky this year from an OL and DB depth standpoint.  But player development came through well enough to show us tremendous growth in year 3 in spite of that.

I said on, as in about a particular subject. In would be the correct word as in "I am in ap us history, taking a test on world war I."

Re: so usc had a pretty good signing day

Not really, we have two really good ones and i think one we redshirted. We SC fans had major complaints that we didn't use the TE's enough last year. If we threw to our TE's like you did with Eifert, you would know SC has two dynamic TE's. I mean it's hard because you had to throw to Lee and Woods, but we were begging Barkley to look down the middle because safeties were cheating to Lee and woods, like you guys did when you were locking a safety to help your corners. If Matt woulda looked at a TE every now and then, Woods and Lee woulda been that much better.

How do you think Barkley is going to do in the NFL?
