Re: SEC 2013 Out of conference fun.

Actually the whole conference is really good at scheduling the Sunbelt conference. They win all those games, being 3-3 in bowl games, and SC needing a last second TD to beat Michigan. They need to start scheduling Tougher out of conference to get ready for the bowl games. But according to the talking heads Florida had the 2nd toughest schedule in the nation, and Louisville had about 119. Kick Alabama's ***, good luck Irish really want the so called great conference to end up 3-6. Then we can call the Big 10 and SEC way OVERRATED.

Sadly, SEC teams lost at least a couple to Sun Belt teams this year and came very close other times.

Considering prevailing opinion, if the Big Ten ever proves to be way overrated, they will have to move down a couple divisions.

why don't you pukes quit recruiting the southeast if you think we are all overrated?

Having inflated records has nothing to do with the players on the field. I don't think anyone doubts that a ton of talent comes from the southeast, but it also comes from Ohio, California, and Texas.

Some of South Carolina's fastest players come from New Jersey.

I haven't seen a single person say that the players are overrated. In fact, it's quite funny when people say that ND is slow and overrated even though many of their best players come from the southeast.

Right on.  I give the SEC as much crap as anybody, but I know they bring in talent and put out talent.  It's just that, as a group, they play below their talent level.

And just what group can everybody use to critique ND? Taking shots at a teams conference partners when you have no partners for everybody else to take shots at. Rich. Let's see, you are in Indiana, how about let's start hanging our hat on how Purdue and Indiana does to judge ND.

You're too self-centered.  This isn't about Alabama.

Maybe Notre Dame should schedule North Dakota State to improve our opponents' winning percentage.

You all just be happy ND isn't on Bama's schedule next yr. It may take a year to get over the drubbing you are about to take.

And I didn't mention Alabama in these responses. Where did you come up with that? What part of the blue highlight below do you not understand?

Cannot criticize for VA Tech, they are FBS!

I agree that Bama's OOC schedule is not good next season, but how do you know one, two or even three years in advance when some of these games are scheduled just how good said team might be by the time the game rolls around.

Michigan was supposed to have been a top 10 team this year and that game looked great on the schedule until kickoff.

Re: SEC 2013 Out of conference fun.

Have you always had a problem of not thinking threads through before you post them? The only way North Dakota State playing Notre Dame will improve their winning percentage is if they beat you. Geez.

Do you understand what winning percentage is? You don't seem to get it. When a team's opponent's have a higher winning percentage than another team's opponent's winning percentage, it has nothing to do with how each team did against those opponents, it tells you which team's opponent won more games.

So when you criticize teams for playing a weak schedule, and your own team's opponent's winning percentage is lower than the opponents of the team you criticize, that is simply dumb.

Re: SEC 2013 Out of conference fun.

Bama played Clemson when they were #8 in 2008 and Bama was like #24. Bama played VT when they were ranked in the top 10. Bama did a home and home with PSU. Played Michigan this year (2012). 2013 has VT again, 2014 has WVU. Wisconsin has been added for I believe 2015. ND is not in a conference so you schedule who you want to. Plus BYU, Airforce,Army, Navy and Wake are not power house programs.

I am actually quite pleased to see most of those schedules.  I still don't like the trend of scheduling FCS teams, but I can't fault any team that lines up at least one major opponent OOC.  If you schedule a Clemson or a TCU and then do well in your own conference, then I think you've earned respect, whether in the form of a title bid for a 12-0 team or a BCS bid for a 10-2 team.
