Just an FYI
UCF has a hot SMU team at home this week Then they go to Tulsa and UTEP, UTEP is not good, but it is a long way from home.
Losing those three is not impossible.
Win out, and anything could happen.

Did you see what the UCF D did to the Herds Top 10 Offense Saturday Night?
Of those three the only team that will give them a challenge is Tulsa.

No, actually I didnt.
I saw all the things our offense did to stop themselves play after play after each dropped pass play.

Was it their reaction to what UCF was doing?
Their offense went through our d like a hot knife through butter.

Re: Important Four Games (2 votes)
The dropped passes hurt for sure but even if they had been cathes, I seriously doubt it would have made a difference in the ball game. The score may have been more respectable but it would still have been a big L. The two KO returns and our D's inablitiy to stop at least 4 - 3rd and longs hurt more. Our D gave up 5 TD's. The offense just can't continue to function a such a high level, its almost impossible. The offense has to play flawless as it is for us to win. Days like the the UCF game will happen. The sad part is we cannot count on the D to help out and win a game like we did last year.

You have no way of knowing how it would have played out had those early catches been made.

Of those three the only team that will give them a challenge is Tulsa. 0-8 Southern Miss took them to OT. They had to score 14 4th quarter points to pull away from 1-7 Memphis. 1-8 FIU played them within 2 scores. So, I think it's fair to say they could slip up to anyone left on their schedule.

Yea but look at what they did in Huntington..
You could even say they over looked Southern Miss and Memphis.
I hope they lose all three but it wont happen.

I hope they lose all three but it wont happen. Why would they overlook Southern Miss and Memphis, but not UAB and UTEP? I don't think they will lose 3 games, I can see them losing 2, but to randomly pick one game where they dominated, then to write of two close games against poor competition as overlooking but assume they won't overlook two weak opponents left on their schedule is just silly.

The bottom line is we now have to depend on others to do what we couldn't do ourselves.

We had to do that a couple times in the MAC and it worked out, we had to a couple others and it didn't. It's so much nicer to control your own destiny, but either way we (the team/coaches) should only go out and worry about winning every game, just like they would if they controlled their own destiny.

I agree, it sucks. I also agree that we can only control our own destiny. Let's beat Memphis and move on from there. We have 4 more chances to get bowl eligible. If we get lucky and back into the East championship game, then I will be as happy as anyone.

It's naturally that way since you win some and lose some, and you would think it inevitably balances out. We've just been on the losing side in both the football and wishing games for too long now.

Agree, it's been about a decade, we need to shift the pendulum in our favor.

Look at what ucf has done all year. Lots of teams over look win less and one win teams and play down to their competition.
They played tough games with Missouri and OSU, Hammered Akron, TMU and ECU and had decent wins over FIU and Memphis. I would take 18 and 13 point wins over anyone we have lost to.
UCF is solid in all three phases of the game.

UCF is solid in all three phases of the game. The whole topic of discussion is what will UCF do down the stretch, not if UCF is a good team or not. You're doing nothing more than proving my/our points that they very well could trip up against UAB and/or UTEP because they play down to their competition. At the same time, they are a good team, but so is SMU and Tulsa.
