Re: LSU targeting nation's No. 1 prospect, DE- Robert Nkemdiche
RK would be a great addition to this year's recruiting class. Ole Miss folks believe he is going there because of his brother playing for the Rebels.

Re: Nkemdiche had given LSU a “silent commitment,” according to
 EDIT - James Smith’s take:
Prior to his commitment to Clemson earlier in the year, Nkemdiche had given LSU a “silent commitment,” according to sources. Within a week, though, he committed to Clemson, leaving the coaches at LSU stunned. While it was known that Nkemdiche’s Clemson commitment was shaky at best, LSU also knew it had plenty of more work to do.This situation feels eerily similar to....>>>>

Re: Update: LSU, Ole Miss lead pack for #1 recruit Robert
ESPN recruiting: Now that football season is over, No. 1 overall ESPN 150 prospect Robert Nkemdiche (Loganville, Ga./Grayson) says he is averaging about 30 minutes per game playing basketball for his school, while also working with a personal trainer on power lifting and speed drills. A couple of schools still hoping to sign the five-star prospect spent time during the last two weeks trying to bond with the 6-foot-4, 272-pound senior. First up was LSU, with the Tigers' defensive line coach making the trip to see Nkemdiche last week. “I spent time with Coach Brick (Haley), and we went out to eat,” Nkemdiche said. “He also came to watch me practice basketball. He tells me to go where my heart goes, and he feels he has the tools to help me get to the next level. Honestly, I like LSU a lot. He says that he could help me develop the tools to get to the NFL. He says if I come in there and work, I will be perfectly fine and play as a freshman. I plan to give them an official visit.”.... Believe he's ours to lose cause Mama wants her boys together. Could be the best class we've had in decades.

Re: Update: LSU, Ole Miss lead pack for #1 recruit Robert
Depends on what is more important...playing with his brother and possibly making a Cotton Bowl at best.....or playing for the SEC title, BCS Bowls and a possible national title.
Sorry Vampy..told you that after the 2003 season.....LSU was going to win another SEC & NC before Ole Miss won the West!! Fact is..LSU did far more..and Ole Miss has never been in the running.

Re: LSU, Ole Miss lead pack for #1 recruit Robert Nkemdiche
His comments at the UA practices today lead one to believe that LSU is, in fact, in second. But that it's a distant second. Only time will tell. I think he is Ole Miss' to lose, but one can certainly understand why he's interested in LSU.
