AFCW Week 6 predictions

Chargers lose to Broncos.  I just don't see enough from this team right now.  Our OL might not be up to the task IMO.  Average team at this point, but if we beat the Broncos, that's a statement for sure.

Chiefs over Bucs.  Interesting matchup

Falcons over Raiders.  Raiders...  have a long way to go.

I like the Broncos over the Chargers only for the reason that I think the Broncos two wide receivers, most notably Thomas, will go off against our corners.

I have the Bucs over the Chiefs by 10 pts.

And I have...believe this.....I have the Raiders in an upset against the Falcons. You heard it here first. Raiders will cram the ball down their throats, get some type of lead, and the Falcons who have been undefeated, have a clunker...they are due.

Chargers offense will annihilate the Donkeys defense on MNF, we finally got a preview of what they look like when they are in sync against the Saints... well the first half anyways

Bucs over Chiefs redface

Falcons over Raiders noidea

Matchups to Watch: Chargers vs. Broncos

The Chargers look to get the bad taste of Sunday’s loss out of their mouths with a win against their primary threat for the AFC West title, the Broncos. A win would be the Bolts' third victory inside the division and would put them in great position heading into the bye week. To set the stage for this pivotal contest, we break down a handful of the game’s most pivotal matchups. Read More...

I mistakenly predicted the Chargers to lose their last AFC West game; I won't make the same mistake again. I've got San Diego going into its bye week on a winning note, taking a 34-27 victory and winning their sixth game in the past seven against Peyton Manning.

I also look for the Raiders to upset the Falcons.

Bucs over Chiefs.

Bolts always play well against Manning (predicting minimum of 2 pics).  Also think our running game makes the difference in the game - Mathews has something to prove and Donkeys not great against the run.  Bolts - 28  Donkeys - 24

Re: AFCW Week 6 predictions

This Chargers/Broncos game could really go either way:

I like that we're at home. I like that the Denver D doesn't seem as imposing as it once did. I like that Gaither may not be officially injured for this game. I like that Rivers has found Meachem a little more lately. I like our front 7 in general. I like that our defense has, in the past, taken care of business against Manning.

I don't like Manning's ability to throw against our secondary.

I'll pick the Chargers in this one in a bounce back game (and making us 3 - 0 in the AFC West).

Chargers over the Broncos. By 7.

Bucs over the Chiefs. By 10.

Falcons over the Raiders. By 20.

RE: AFCW Week 6 predictions

Chargers 27 Broncos 24: I'm assuming Gaither plays. This is based on history more than roster vs roster. Ryan Mathews and Philip Rivers have owned the Broncos defese, the same way or defense has always whooped on Peyton Manning. I worry about Cason getting dominated by Thomas, but other than that they really don't have any passing weapons that scare me or any matchups that favor them. Their running game scares me not at all, and as always, its gonna be about getting to Peyton.  Norv needs to not take the ball out of Mathews' hands when he goes over 100 yards in the 1st half.

Chiefs 21 Bucs 20: It'll be close because both teams are bad, and one again I expect Flowers to erase Vincent Jackson from the game. But I can't believe Freeman has regressed to the point where Brady Quinn will out duel him.

Falcons 35 Raiders 10: Game over.

Rivers owns manning so, I pick the chargers by 10
Chiefs and bucs I have no ideas who to pick.
Raiders and falcons, well this should be an easy one for me. I expect the falcons to drop 50 plus points on Oakland.

In my heart, I see the Chargers sacking Manning 6 times in a 11 point win.....but in reality I see a Donkey win
Brady Quinn will help, but I see Tampa winning
Atlanta wins, but alot closer than most think

Look, I want the Chargers to smash the Broncos....I will cheer louder than anyone, trust me, ask my neighbors...

But the stats can be telling...

Best 4th QTR team in NFL? Broncos have scored 58 pts in 4th qtr & given up only 6. Bolts shut out in 4th qtr vs Saints

RE: AFCW Week 6 predictions

Let us not forget what they have done the first 3 QTR's of those same games...

77 Pts scored
108 Pts Given Up

Let's get up on them early and then run the ball down their throat to close it out.  Take them out of pass rushing situations and it will kill their chances.  Mathews had 2 of his biggest games to date against the Broncos last season and their defense is weaker now.

The Ref's have some make up to do and they know it. Bolts at home with resolve after Saint debacle.

Great stat also but the 4th quarter unfortunately is where many games are won and lost. Let's hope the Chargers put 4 full quarters together in an important game under Norv's watch. Hasn't happened much over his entire tenure.

I am...HA! I actually wanted to pick the Titans last night but forgot, I actually bet on the Titans and won another big bill. I am on fire right now, winning 95% of my bets, it's ridiculous. I don't want to jinx myself, but heck I'll take an extra paycheck any day. HA! But I don't bet big, just keep it simple...don't want to advocate betting, some people can't handle it.
