Attn Mike: Question concerning the forum conversion

Attn Mike: Question concerning the forum conversion

Sorry, as this may not be the right place for this Mike, but I had a question regarding the forum conversion.  I would have sent it in an e-mail or as a pm, but I imagine it is something that effects us all.  Will we have to recreate our account settings to be able to log into the Fox Sports forum?  My computer has had my password automated for years now and I have no idea what it is any longer, so when I went to the Fox Sports forum and it asked for a username and password I was not successful in my login attempt.  Whenever I came on here I simply typed in my username and my computer recalled the password I used.  On the Fox site will I  have to recreate my account.. or am I having difficulty logging into it simply because I can't remember the password I created for this site years ago now?

I saw exactly what you mentioned, with the the last months posts being omitted on the merged site.  I just don't know if my login info is transferred there or not.  Any help you might give is appreciated.  Thanks  --- Jon

RE: Attn Mike: Question concerning the forum conversion

sorry for the double post.. but there is a rumour going around that the new site is a pay site... is that true? Or is membership free as it was here? I guess there are some kinks to be figured out, I always hope when these types of things happen that they are seemless, but having experienced the fanhome conversion to the scout forums I know that isn't always the case. I also really like the design/layout of this site and am not too pleased by the design/layout of the Fox site from what I've seen so far. As far as the web design is concerned, are the asthetics fluid, or can we expect it to look what we see now?  Thanks again and I apologize for all the questions Mike.

RE: Attn Mike: Question concerning the forum conversion

okay, the three consecutive posts are annoying, so I apologize for that, but I was able to remember my password here to get into the new site. For anyone who might be wondering, we do not have to recreate our accounts and we DO NOT have to pay any kind of membership fee to join the foxsportsnext site. I was able to use my username and password from this site to log in there. I have created two posts now on the new site without any problems.

You can disregard my earlier posts here Mike.

Anyone who has any questions on how to log on to the new site is welcome to ask me and I'll do my best to explain how you can transfer over there.

I didn't even know the new boards were ready. I jumped over to see how it looks/works. I'm in and saw your post there but it wouldn't let me reply. Or I couldn't figure out how to reply. Looks like there's a lot of negative feedback over there about the way it's all formatted. What a shame.

For whatever reason, it is now working for me. Perhaps it's not "officially" up and running?

I confess that I'm confused. When is this site being "retired"? Because my every sense tells me that I am actually typing into it right now, that it is October 7, and that others are doing the same.

So why, again, do we have to move to a new forum?
