RE: MATTHEWS INJURED IN CAR ACCIDENT
Any time you hit another car the cops say "excessive speed" was the cause. Well obviously it was involved or you wouldn't have hit the other damn car.
As long as there isn't any concusion or broken bones this is much to do about nothing. Couple days of light practice and move on with life.

Re: MATTHEWS INJURED IN CAR ACCIDENT
Don't teams usually lock down their players this time of year? What's he doing out at midnight? Thank the lord there was no DUI. With all of them in the league now you almost expect it when you read these kind of headlines.

Re: MATTHEWS INJURED IN CAR ACCIDENT
He felt like he had played 4 games in one day when he woke up Tuesday morning? Okaaaaayyyyyy...
I'm going out on limb here and believing that he GROSSLY over-exaggerated with that statement for some goofy effect, because if the effects of the crash were truly that bad, I don't want to think about what that means he'll be like come game 13.

RE: MATTHEWS INJURED IN CAR ACCIDENT
LOL @ the hypocrisy. As if none of you have been in a car accident, or driven above the speed limit, or been a 24 year old out at midnight.
For all you idiots know the man got a hankering for Apple Pie and was headed to a 24hr Denny's. Yet you act as if he was street racing while intoxicated with an entourage of his homeboys.

Re: MATTHEWS INJURED IN CAR ACCIDENT
I won't cast the first stone at this kid because I've done my fair share of speeding in my youth but definitely not happy to see that he was involved in an accident.
Anyways, I'm definitely with Light when it comes to the not passing his whatever is was during camp but I do believe that was also during the lockout season so I won't hit Ryano on this to bad.
As for the midnight run, it was his day off and he was driving towards the team hotel. So I can't be too mad about that. He wasn't intoxicated so in that light, it's basically a slap on the wrist for young Mr Mathews.
The basic message in all this is drive cautiously folks.
I don't see this as more than a slap on the wrist for Mr Mathews (to drive more carefully). It's not like he was getting his Stingeree on. So for that I'm thankful.
The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist.

Re: MATTHEWS INJURED IN CAR ACCIDENT
Its not that RM is a bad guy its just that LT was that much more of a professional. You never heard about LT off the field or not showing up prepared.
It just doesnt look good for RM. 2 years running and in the paper during TC for things we'd rather not read. Is this a trend for the young RB or just dumb luck? I start to wonder, whats next?
End of day, happy to hear he is ok.

End of day, happy to hear he is ok. You're comparing a minor accident where no one was hurt to showing up to camp out of shape? Well I'm sorry you have to read such unpleasantness, clearly Ryan Mathews is a hooligan! Next step, dog fighting and sizzurp! Move over FatMarcus and Ryan Leaf, here comes Ryan Mathews he drives like a 16 year old Asian chick!

No comparisons, RM failed a conditioning test in TC last year. Read the article. http://profootballtalk.nbcspor...rt-this-season/Not a huge deal but you ever hear LT on some "ish" like that patna? syxwunine wrote:

What does it matter now? The kid had a good year, and he came into camp in INCREDIBLE shape this year. Move on bud, you're trying to create problems where they don't exist.
