Predict 2012 Record
The schedule isn't out, but we know who we are going to play.
I'll go first. My L's don't mean I think we will lose, but I can't put W next to every game. That would be unrealistic.
I believe that AJ is going to work very hard this off-season to fill holes and upgrade some positions, but even if he didn't, barring key injuries, I still see us going 14-2 in 2012.
Home: Denver Broncos (W) Kansas City Chiefs (W) Oakland Raiders (W) Baltimore Ravens (L) - Stomping them two years in a row would be difficult Cincinnati Bengals (W) Tennessee Titans (W) Atlanta Falcons (W) Carolina Panthers (W) Away: Denver Broncos (W) Kansas City Chiefs (W) Oakland Raiders (W) Cleveland Browns (W) Pittsburgh Steelers (L) - Just showing Big Ben some respect, but I think we can beat them. New York Jets (W) New Orleans Saints (W) - Classic battle: Rivers vs. Brees Tampa Bay Buccaneers (W)
Two words: Offensive Line!

Re: Predict 2012 Record
Wow this is early. Having JUST looked up Norv's road record I'd have to pile on some more road losses next season - especially to the elite competition. So probably losses to the Jets, Steelers, and Saints would make your predictions a little more realistic. Maybe one more for good measure. Now we're at 11 and 5 with everything else holding true. chargers4life wrote:The schedule isn't out, but we know who we are going to play.

Man I hope you are right C4L but I will wait to see our draft and what we do in the offseason. I don't buy into the win at New Orleans who may be world champs again this year. chargers4life wrote:The schedule isn't out, but we know who we are going to play.

Ya, that Saints game is something to look forward too. I bet it will be a Monday Night Football game. slammer8 wrote: Man I hope you are right C4L but I will wait to see our draft and what we do in the offseason. I don't buy into the win at New Orleans who may be world champs again this year.

Re: Predict 2012 Record
Way to early because of player/coach movements but I'll play along. Of course I'm going off of what I know now and what I think will happen in the off season. chargers4life wrote:The schedule isn't out, but we know who we are going to play.

Home: Denver Broncos (W) agree Kansas City Chiefs (W) agree but only because of new HC. Oakland Raiders (W) agree mainly because they can't improve expect through FA. Baltimore Ravens (L) - Stomping them two years in a row would be difficult It will be much easier as I believe Ray will call it a career so I'm going (W) here. Cincinnati Bengals (W) I want to say (W) but something about the Bengals and their blue collar work ethic makes me say they will defeat a Norv Turner usually unprepared team. Tennessee Titans (W) agree. I don't see the Titans improving enough to go score for score with Rivers and company. Atlanta Falcons (W) agree. Don't see enough D in the Falcons to hang with the Bolts. Carolina Panthers (W) Disagree for one simple reason. Ron Rivera. He knows the Bolts and he will have a game plan in place. Away: Denver Broncos (W) agree because of the uncertainty of the new QB situation. Kansas City Chiefs (W) same as before. New coach usually means need time to gel. Oakland Raiders (W) same as again they are not going to be able to improve much without the draft picks. Cleveland Browns (W) for now I will agree. Pittsburgh Steelers (L) - Just showing Big Ben some respect, but I think we can beat them. I'm not, I think that the Bolts will finally break their losing streak in Pitts. They definitely need to. New York Jets (W) Agree. Mainly because I think Ryan is losing his locker room. New Orleans Saints (W) - Classic battle: Rivers vs. Brees I'm going to say this comes down to who has the ball last. But for now, I say (L) mainly because both Brees and that little guy especially will have a chip on their shoulders. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (W) New coach so yes, I would agree that they win this one as well.

I'll use the George Costanza do-the-opposite approach.

Re: Predict 2012 Record
I'll have to chance my Denver picks now that they have Manning. I'll split the Broncos series now. However, I'll change the Saints game to a Win. I can now see us losing to Cam Newton now though. So, I'll still go with 13-3. chargers4life wrote:The schedule isn't out, but we know who we are going to play.

Seems like a good time to resurrect this thread. I'll stick with 13-3 for now.
