Look, no matter what the current record is these days when you go to a Raider's game you have to be prepared to take some abuse.    I heard Scott and BR talking about it the other morning.  Scott wont go to games anymore because of the fans.    Whatever  his problem was i share the sentiment and usually sell my tickets off to a friend or family member.   The truth is as much as i love my team i cant stand to pay the price and not enjoy the game.  The drinking , roudy , abnoxious fighting isnt what i pay for so  i opted out.   Havent seen a game in years.

Heres my story.  A friend was supposed to meet us at a Raider game .  His wife , my son, and I were waiting in our seats for him to show up.  We were all alone in an aisle watching the warmups when out of the blue comes two knuckleheads wearing Raiders jackets.  These were punks about 20 yrs old.  They made sure they walked into our unoccupied aisle and stepped on our toes as they pretended to need to pass. When my friends wife said excuse me politely the first punk turned and started shouting obscenities at her.  Fowl , unecessary angry BS.  Anyways, my son and i nearly got into it .  I figured after that i would just rather not deal with the vermen that was showing up at my stadium .    I know it may not be popular but i decided to just watch from home after that.

Anybody else have a fond Raider memory like that?

      That kind of reminds me of that saying Not all Raiders fans are gang members but all gang members are Raiders fans..I dont go to games because im a little intense when I watch football.bUT A COUPLE YEARS AGO i visited san diego and went to sea world and was wearing my LT jersey and some idiot raider fan started talking smack and we almost got into it.And growing up in SD it seemed like there were more of them then us Charger fans.And thats why I have no sympathy for what they are going through now.

Like the time I was at a Charger-Raider game at the Q (around 2001 or 2002 season), I was waiting in a long line for the bathroom and Raider fans were comparing who many times they've been arrested. One of them asked me how many times I had been arrested and said I was soft because I have never been arrested. The bad thing was in sizing them up I could have easily taken them in a scrap one-on-one. Then while I was still waiting, some moronic Raider fans thought is was so funny to pee in the sink instead of waiting.

I no longer take my son or other family members to the Raider game.  I get a chance to bring some friends so I bring three Rugby players who are good friends  of mine.  They are great guys,  ex military from South Africa and are big.  NOBODY bothers us!

That's hilarious Tre, I had an issue in a bathroom line too. A couple of buds and I were drinking beer and laughing in line when two Raider fans walked through one of my buddies to cut the line and he slopped beer down his shirt. Nobody said a word and it was over in less 30 seconds. Three combat vets versus two drunk Raider fans? No contest! 

The fans for sure !!!  I have never been to a Raider home game BUT watching their fans on TV looks darn scary.    Not all their fans are like that but I think the majority of them are.  GO CHARGERS !!!!!!!

My wife & I are driving down sunday from orange county.

I hope I dont have to go through any of that crap.

Its our first Chargers raiders game.

A number of years ago, actually many, many years ago a friend and made the mistake of going to the game in OAKLAND. Wearing all our Charger gear and about half in the bag when the game started. I was really in fear for my life and we left at halftime. Raider fans are absolutely the worst, rowdiest criminal element on the face of the earth. The problem is the Raider persona and the fact that when they come to our house they don't care and are just looking for trouble.

As a sidelight the next year I went to another away game this time in Dallas. Those were some of the finest people I have ever met. That game was almost as much fun as a home game. Kudos to the fans in Dallas and a pox on the houses of the fans in Oakland.

You should be fine and i hope you have a great time.   As long as the Raiders are losing the light weight wanna be tough guy fans stay home with nothing to talk about.   More of the true fans follow them thick or thin. 

I must say  that during the Coryell era i always enjoyed the fans that came down from Oakland.  They came to cheer their team not start anything.   Those were true football fans.   It seemed like once the team moved to Los Angleles they picked up the gang bang element .     In any event you have to look at what the Raiders have become and think that there must be kharma at work.     They really are terrible anymore.

There were 3 incidents in the loge area underneath the scoreboard according to the guys but none of them got out of hand.  Security does a pretty good job of responding quickly.
