Thank You Philip!

Thanks for being the pro you are, not being a distraction, just watching NFLN, and today just like most of the summer
All Manziel TV, for a kid who should be in at least one more year in college IMO anyway! Maturity wize!

Re: Thank You Phillip!

Manziel is young. Give him a chance. I know he's acting like a dumb arst right now and has made some bad choices, but I like his fire and spunk.

Either he'll be an all-world beater in a year or two or flame out ala the savior Tim Tebow.

We shall see but people need to give this kid a chance. I think it's in vogue to dump on him...not you bro, you make good points, but I think you know what I mean.

I for one am so over "young" being an excuse... Other players like Rivers was young too. He's been the model type of player, man, & father... I was young too. Married at 18. I chose to never drink or smoke. It's choices people make, not due to being "young & dumb"...

There are many other athletes in many sports who are young & not doing stupid things like Manziel. He needs to take responsibility for his poor choices. His parents have allowed him to get away with stuff. It shows. Man up Manziel ohlord

That's a great point. I can't recall too many athletes who came out of college with the same attitude as Manziel who then later "matured" and turned it around.

They generally remained a loud-mouthed bonehead with moderate success or one who flamed out fairly rapidly.

Re: Thank You Philip!

Wasn't too long ago where Rivers was considered immature by some fans. Some to this day still consider Rivers a whinner for some odd reason.

Link below talks about Manning getting a taunting flag. Had this been a regular season game no doubt Peyton would have been praised for his passion for the game. Rivers on the other hand would have been well, you know.

It's not about how many times you get knocked down.  It's whether or not you are willing to get back up.

Good point Tfg. The double standard in the NFL when it comes the to the Peyton Mannings and Tom Bradys is so hypocritical. All I know is I like our chances every Sunday against any team in the NFL with #17!

Re: Thank You Philip!

Here is the story about the first big flap that Philip caused with the media after a beat down of the Broncos on national TV.  Of course those idiots were looking for something that really wasn't there and did not realize that Philip was just having fun and got blamed for something he did not do.  Jay Cutler was the instigator but nobody said anything about that.  To PR, every game is like a game in the backyard with his buddies.  Anybody who knew anything about him knew how he is.
