Hey that's a good signing!  A step up from Ronnie I think.

I thought he was on the decline ....is Tommy boy letting his emotions take over?

Not sure what you're talking about?

I thought we could draft a better option than Brown (this draft is STACKED with talent), but I always thought Brown would be an upgrade to Ronnie Brown.

Maybe you're confusing me with someone else's comments.

Re: Donald Brown a Charger

I like it!!!

Donald Brown is good enough to come in and a rotation basis and be effective. I still think the Chargers should find a late round running back gem in the draft and let them all compete.

Two free agents signed....Two Ex-Colts are Chargers. Well crepe, with Freeney, that's three.

Any other Colts that could be coming over? Can Marvin Harrison come out of retirement?

I love this signing more than Moreno.  Brown's a stud always liked him since he was drafted I think out of Richmond.  He isn't the bruising back like Tolbert but he's a real stud we could have used against the Broncos when Matthews was hurt.  The last few years in Indy Brown wasn't really in the rotation and right now our backfield is really stacked with talent.  I don't worry if or when Matthews gets hurt

Eh, I like Brown, but I hope this doesnt mean that Telesco will not take a back in the draft, there are a lot like in this draft.

From his highlights late in 2013 he didn't appear to be a guy on the decline. I wanted Toby Gerhart to come over but Brown and him seem to be the same caliber player so I'm content with the signing.

Re: Donald Brown a Charger

no offense but any RB is an upgrade to Ronnie Brown

anyways I'm not a fan of Donald Brown, if he was above average the Colts don't trade for Trent Richardson

It will be nice to have a better back-up RB than Ronnie Brown.

Right there with you Kiwi on Jerrick!

I've already noticed a few people ripping this move on twitter, am I missing something here or is this a lateral move that doesn't improve this team?

The only reason I have a problem with the money...is Clary is still here.

Other than that I'm fine with this signing. He could carry the load a lot better than Woodhead if/when RM goes down.

Re: Donald Brown a Charger

D Brown is an upgrade to R Brown so therefore the team is better because of this move.

Is D Brown better than Mathews?  No, but is that what we were expecting here?  This is a backup upgrade.

Be happy, and the draft might yield yet another back to compete.

I'm still waiting for that Cornerback....., and already quite a few of the good ones are gone.

Brown was better than Richardson. I like it. We definitely needed a quality second RB. NO DOUBT. I'd even try for a third through the draft.

Re: Donald Brown a Charger

Just to play the devil's advocate here......But couldn't have the Chargers found a fifth round pick with higher upside? At way lower the price?

Re: Donald Brown a Charger

I like it considering Mathews gets dinged up a little. They won't have to run him into the ground until he can't play anymore. Now it's time for defense or just load up on offense and draft all defense? I definetly think this taks RB off the draft board and just bringing in UDFA RBs
Without struggle, there is no progress.

I wonder how far we would have went in the playoffs if we had Donald instead of Ronnie Brown back then.

Starting to look like the Colts West around here.
It's not about how many times you get knocked down.  It's whether or not you are willing to get back up.
