Wildcard: Chargers at Bengals

Can't believe we're in the show. Anything can happen.

If the Bengals watched us today I'm thinking they run a huge risk of underestimating us. They have to think we're dung. They just have to.

Re: Wildcard: Chargers at Bengals

An ugly victory, playing their 2nd string, we managed to pull it out of the embers.  Our porous secondary giving up a lot of real estate to back up wideouts.

The moral:  never leave it to a kicker past 40 yards out. Then a missed FG and on to O.T.  False Start Clary almost blowing the win for us with his untimely penalty.  Weddle goes up the middle on a fake punt on a gutsy call.  Then we call two terrible plays that were killed by the Chiefs defense--  an end around play, a slip screen to Royal that was blown up.

Incredible,  Rivers, White Lightning Woodhead, Rhino Matthews, a patched up wide receiver corps after the injuries to Malcolm Floyd, D. Alexander.  Losing Larry English, losing Dwight Freeney, losing Jonas Mouton.  Rookies having to play early on both sides of the ball.  Going to the playoffs during a rebuilding year is very strange in deed.  WHO would have thought this would have happened.  Cindy Rella's ugly, smelly , step sister , going to the ball.  Walking into the playoffs after a Jet loss, after a Raven loss, going to over time.  Deserving to lose and yet we pull this one out.

Bring on the Bengals:

1.  Andy "Duelin" Dalton has never delivered in crunch time.
2.  Rivers does well on the road, we stunk out Qual Comm when we lost to them at home.
3. This is a  revenge game after losing to them during the season.
4. McCoy won a playoff game with Tebow at QB , I think Rivers is just a little better at throwing the football, reading a secondary.

Rather play the Bengals then the Chiefs after what just played out here.  We have a solid chance to win on the road.

Yeah, our secondary is garbage but we can't mask that in the playoffs.

Absofrigginlutely, Lobo! First thing that swam through my brain after realizing it would the Bengals. Guarantee you Dan is thinking the same thing. The biggest concern I had from today's game was the lack of time PR had in the pocket today. For whatever reason, whether the coverage of the receivers was good or the line just did a piss-poor job, that was the thing that stood out most to me.

According to this weather report there is a 10% chance of rain on next Saturday in Cincinnati and 30% on Sunday. Temps seem pretty mild to me. Nothing like the Ice Bowl of yore. Thank god for that.

Wasn't the temp in that game like 50 below. And they were opening the gates so the wind would rip through when we had the ball and closing them for the Bengals ?I remember crying after that game I get emotional over my football man I was young when that game went down

Yep. Unimaginable temps (with the wind-chill). I was in the Army at that time and that game just made everything worse.

RE: Wildcard: Chargers at Bengals

Let me just say this before the game begins:

THE PLAYCALLING SUCKS . PASS PASS PASS. WAIT RUN. NO PASS. NO. WHATEVER DIDN'T WORK LAST PLAY IS BECAUSE WHISENHUNT IS AN IDIOT. MCCOY IS AN IDIOT. HOLY CRAP ... THE DEFENSE HAS TO MAKE A STOP. THAT IS ON WHISENHUNT AND MCCOY. THEY SHOULD'VE CALLED A STATUE OF LIBERTY AND "OPENED THE PLAYBOOK UP."

EFFING TURTLES!

THEY RAN THE BALL AND IT DIDN'T WORK. OOPS THEY RAN THE BALL AND IT WORKED, SO I'LL SHUT UP UNTIL THE RUN DOESN'T WORK. THEN WHEN THE RUN DOESN'T WORK I CALL IT "TURTLING"

WTF. FIRE WHIS. FIRE EVERYBODY. HIRE CHUD. GATES SUCKS. RIVERS SUCKS. WHY DON'T THEY THROW TO LADARIUS GREEN WHEN HE'S NOT OPEN? WHY DOESN'T MIKE MCCOY MAKE KENDALL REYES' LEGS STRONGER. GODAMMIT LADARIUS GREEN. I DON'T CARE IF HE'S NOT OPEN LADARIUS GREEN.

WTF!? THEY CALLED A RUN!? THIS PLAYCALLING SUCKS. MCCOY IS A TURTLE. THIS PLAYCALLING SUCKS. PASS. I USE "TURTLE" AS A VERB. DON'T TURTLE. AHH -- SHERCEE WRIGHT LET SOMEONE GET BEHIND HIM. WELL, THAT'S BECAUSE THE CHARGERS RUN TOO MUCH. MCCOY AND WHIS ARE IDIOTS. I THINK BEYOND THEM. SEE, I SAID GET CREATIVE AND THEY CALLED A REVERSE -- I WAS BEYOND THEM.

DAMMIT, THEY JUST RAN THROUGH KAM THOMAS LIKE HE WAS A SHEET MADE OF DONUTS. THAT'S MCCOY'S FAULT. DAMMIT THEY DID IT TEN MORE TIMES. IT'S MCCOY'S FAULT. OR WHIS's fault. DAMMIT, IT IS THE

Fire McCoy. Fire Whis. Playcalling sucks. Playcalling sucks. Playcalling sucks.
