I don't recall. My profile says 2004 as well (only a few days before you), but I know I didn't post on the forums until MUCH later than that. I guess 2004 is when I registered to read SD Bolt Report? Wish I knew my official first forum posting. Is there a way to find that out?

i found the forum in Dec 04 and lurked around for a bit reading everyones posts before i felt comfortable enough posting here and signed up sometime in 06, i think around draft time. I was terrified that i would driven out as someone who didnt have the football knowledge that everyone else obviously did, so i thank you all for putting up with me! Iv learnt so much from all the great football minds here and am grateful iv been able to share my love of the Chargers here with everyone!

Well you have learned well and hold your own, I doubt any of these grid iron guys could tell you about a 5 metre scrum, kicks for touch, blitz defence, line out, hands in the ruck etc. I bet not one of these guys can name who Nathan Sharpe is so good on you for picking up our game of football so well.

I joined in Dec 04 as well. Read lots but don't post much. Like my compatriot DownUnder I thank everyone for their patience while I tried to pick up the finer points of the game. Merry Christmas all.

Funny story.. When I was in highschool, we had a very good rugby team and I played when I was a junior. Our senior team actually played in Scotland in an international tournament. By the time I got to senior, our rugby team got pulled into the gym and we were all told that our school would no longer have a rugby team....  .... and that the school just bought football equipment ... and so ended rugby at our school, and that was the first year our school had a football team. We were all VERY upset about that!!!!!!!!! But I learned to love football...., but our football team sucked badly.... big difference from rugby. Rugby is actually bigger than football in Ontario Canada. I can't speak for other provinces (I know football is much bigger out west), but in the east, Canada is a bit more "european".

I believe I officially joined in summer or fall of 06. I started by reading a lot of posts as well since it took me a while to feel confident in posting in a knowledgable way. After I got comfortable, then the joking side and BS starts to come out once everybody on the forum makes you feel comfortable here, as they did. I check this site out everyday because I love reading everybody's opinion on our beloved team.

I've had several different incarnations on this forum before Chargerhonk....I can't even remember my other name but I started originally with treehousesd and then got banned on the Padres scout forum, go figure...HA!...and then changed my name.
I joined around 2001-2002 I believe.....So over a decade now. This is a fun forum. Without Joe it wouldn't be the same. Happy Holidays too everyone! Let 2013 be the year things start to turn around!

My profile says Feb, 2005, and that sounds about right. I was impressed with the draft grades, which is how I figured out that we would draft VJ. I wasted time on other chargers forums at about.com and chargers.com, but ultimately MMQB made this forum my home. Two words: Offensive Line!

For me, it was sometime in 2003 I think. The flame wars involving Maui, Time, and a few others sort of divided the forum and I left for awhile. Never even looked for another forum until I realized MMQB wasn't around, but quickly found my way back here. Joe made me feel right at home. And realizing how hokie it may seem, after all these years, I honestly think of you boys as friends even though I've never met any of you. Living across the country from the team you root for has many disadvantages. Merry Christmas and happy new year to all.
