Re: Jared Gaither to IR...
Blessing in disguise?
Maybe now AJ will stop hoping Gaither will get with it, and will actually get serious about adding a quality OT rental?

Re: Jared Gaither to IR...
Oh well. At this point, any win just lowers our draft position anyway. However, they have got to protect Rivers. I think it is about time to start playing Whitehurst, in order to protect our most valuable asset.
Two words: Offensive Line!

Re: Jared Gaither to IR...
These are the type injuries that tend to happen with athletes that are not hard workers and do not stay in shape. WE have a multimillion dollar QB and a 50 cent O line! Now we do not have an NFL quality left and right tackle. Lets see with have Harris, Hadnot, Hardwick, molk and Clary. I think we should start Whitey this week because only Jesus could live through this. AJ should be fired by the time I finish this post!

Good call Slammer..."Clipboard Jesus" may not start but could be playing quite early in the game. I don't expect Rivers to make it to halftime. Unless, of course, the Ravens are fighting over who gets the sack and Rivers gets away.

Actually I wish AJ just cut his ass right now, to make a statement to the rest of the players that might be slacking. If AJ wants to keep his job at the end of the season, he can't just ride out the rest of the season silently IMO. He's got to cut Gaither, and sign another OT.

Jeanne. You are better than that. What exactly is it that you are confused about? A head scratching emoticon does not explain much. Do you think that the LT position is not important? Do you think that a QB is not the most important position on the field? Have you not seen QB's overcome blocking problems? Jeanne75 wrote:

only one person can will this team to the playoffs ...Rivers I didn't know you are answering questions for Kiwi now, but ok. First, I don't think Gaither is the answer to ALL of our offense's problems. The season is over, no matter what! As far as I'm concerned, Kiwi doesn't necessarily trust Rivers to carry the team alone, so (if I understood correctly) why does he "expect" it from him NOW, knowing that yet another lineman is gone for the season! I posted the questionmark emoticon, because I do not understand Kiwi's point. But if "?" seems more respectful to you, then I will just do that in the future.

Re: Jared Gaither to IR...
Rivers does need to step it up and our season is on life support and only he can turn it around. He can't do it alone. If the O line cant protect him better and establish a run game with run blocking then things will not turn around and we will lose the next three.

Gaither is a waste of good air. I say send him packing and get on with scouting the college tackles.
