Brandon Allen's truck set afire

This is just totally uncalled for. I wonder what the prison term is for arson these days.

  • A Class A Felony carries a minimum sentence of six years but no more than thirty years.

Apparently Allen's vehicle wasn't the only one, not to far away another vehicle, same make and model as Allen's got burned as well. Maybe two 30 year punishments.

I don't wish this on anyone, but hope this was just a random act and not targeted to specifically Brandon Allen and I agree that the should get the max but will probably plead down to less than 6

This is sad

Hope they catch the person (s) who did it. They should not get community service.

Re: Brandon Allen's truck set afire

This is getting too close.  I'm beginning to wonder if his safety is at issue.  I hope the authorities catch who did this, and quickly.  If they are guilty, they don't need to be allowed to plea down to a lesser charge.  It's time to make an example out of someone, if for no other reason, to make others "think twice" before considering something similar.

Re: Brandon Allen's truck set afire

I'm sure it has to be proven that it was meant specifically for Brandon Allen and not just a random act for it to be a harsher sentence, especially if it is a first time offense. Regardless, I hope they do get at least the minimum prison term and don't get it negotiated down to a misdemeanor. I just hope to god that this wasn't the act of some random, upset fan.  It would be a blow to the school in addition to what we have already gone through. I know Arkansas fans take their football seriously as do I, but this is definitely to the extreme.

Re: Brandon Allen's truck set afire

Reading some other boards and their reasons are very interesting. No one thinks it's a Razorback fan, except recruits which could be disastrous. Some are saying jaded ex, Gus fan, or since more than one vehicle matching Allen's vehicle was set on fire that maybe a case of road rage and they weren't sure which was the right vehicle. Very interesting comments for sure

You are overlooking the obvious.  Consider what night of the week it was:
