So I watched the first 30 mins of the SEC Network

Bored to tears bored1  I had to switch over to C-Span for some excitement.   Not an auspicious beginning.

Check the Guide. Maybe the 1974 SEC Track Championship  will be coming up. Or maybe the University of Kentucky's runner-up performance in the 1980 NATIONAL Cheerleading Championship.

Right now they are having celebrity fans of each institution talk about fond memories.  All I have to say is WHO IN THE HECK IS RALPHIE MAY???  He sure did love the Hogs and Barnhill Arena...

I was strolling through the house earlier and stopped to check it out, they were interviewing famous fans from each school, and to my dismay when they got to us, it was freakin` Ralphy May. He is definitely a Hog. Literally. Is that all we have? wow.

I thought the opening was cool. It was great to see Coach Broyles on. As far as most famous Hog fans, Clinton and BHH were out of pocket apparently. Not wanting to brag but I'm a part time semi professional singer/songwriter and I may be more famous than Ralphie May.

Inauspicious rollout notwithstanding, I especially like the part where each member school gets about 30 million reasons to make a longwhorn (and LHN) cry.

I thought it was ok.  The main thing I'm going to like about it is their game day sports coverage anyway.  The rest just fills the time between Fox News stories.  wink

6 wins this year

The coverage of the hogs and Ralphie caused me to lower my win count.
Mark it down.

I went ahead 3-4 days and still couldn't find any Hog games.  Maybe our old games are 10 days away...

You don't know Ralphie?! I have no clue of his tie to University of Arkansas, but he used to make my wife and I laugh so hard.  Then his material went more raunchy and we don't/cannot watch him anymore.

My guess for the lineup of old Hog games is that they will show the 1962 Sugar Bowl, 1966 Cotton Bowl, the 1970 Sugar Bowl, the 1979 Sugar Bowl, the 1971, 1984, and 1987 Liberty Bowls, and the 1990 Cotton Bowl.banghead

They just did a story about Adam Deacon being given a scholarship.

Coach also said we are more physical, on the same page and closer together than last year

I suppose I will just have to Google him.  But it seems that between clinton, Jerry Jones, Barry Switzer, a Walton, Mary Steenburgen, Billy Bob Thornton, Mike Huckabee, etc..., they could have found someone just a bit more preeminent than he.

The only thing I can conclude about Ralphie May is that he must figure prominently on Comedy Central, which I haven't watched for years because I had a child in the house.  I actually consider myself a bit of a pop culture nerd, but Ralphie was totally new to me.  Must be a generational thing.

If you go out 3-4 days now you'll find AR/FL '06 I think and AR/Ole Miss '01 and a couple of others.
