Yes, it came from several sources around 4:00, also had credited CBB with saying it, also said they would assist him in getting into another school.

He said "nothing but love" for Arkansas.  Sounds like a playing/starting issue.
Good luck young man.

Well, it is hot in here Ricky.

If true that it was start me or I'm gone, that's really sad. Any top level program needs players to understand they will be competing day in and day out against the best because the program strives to bring in the best. And we really needed that depth at linebacker.

Apparently, part of the issue was being bumped from #2 by a juco transfer.  HI has an article about it. (Those articles are a big part of what makes a membership worthwhile).

I'm a big  believer in playing the guy who earns his spot.  I think young people sometimes feel threatened by competition instead of feeling challenged by it.

Otha, the young man that just transferred to ASU, and the young man from NJ that never made it here were all CBP LB recruits that while having a ton of promise just never really were able to turn the corner of showing to be SEC LB's.  I truly wish they all three were starting today and the entire SEC were talking about them...but they're not.
Otha tweeted a number of times before the spring and since that he was in the best shape ever and ready to hit and prove his spot.  But, it appears the Juco kid Williams, Spaight, and the freshmen all are pushing him.

I hate that for him.....BUT I LOVE THAT FOR US!!!!  Of course, it means we will be playing some more players on D with little experience but it also means we are pushing out the lesser players.

Best of luck Otha!

Re: KNWA reporting

Disappointment is all that I can say.  I really was waiting to see what Otha could do for us on Saturdays.  Even if he had a bad week at practice it seemed that he would rise to the occasion on Saturdays if he was healthy.  Lots of upside that we will never see.  I think that it will be his loss and our loss as well.  All he needed to do was out work those guys and when he was given game time, which would have happened, just rise up and show what he was made of.  Some guys practice well and come out flat in games.  Others do not practice well, but rise up and perform on Saturdays.  All he needed to do was hang in there and perform.  The rest was waiting to come to him.  Too bad.  A big disappointment...banghead

The JUCO kid Williams was promoted to 2nd team middle LB after Peters departure. Announced this morning. Makes this a little more interesting.

It's unfortunate - the Hogs could have used the depth.

Re: KNWA reporting

Ready to hit and prove his spot? Really? Seems he really wanted to have his spot reserved. The Razorbacks are trying to build a linebacking unit that can compete in the SEC. That won't happen without some serious competition in the ranks. Best of luck in the minors, kid

I wish Otha the very best but I am afraid that in the very near

future he will be a standard reference around here for the "stars don't matter" argument. He obviously struggled to capture the expectations for a 4 star LB we were placing on him and desperately wanting to see. Best of luck to him and I hope he lands at the right place for him.
