Like it or not, I'm back

Like it or not, I'm back

For you new comers since early spring I've been absent. I'm not old as Dos, I'm not as smart as Dallas and my creative writing can't touch Mud or Nostr. If we could sword fight in here Bake and I would be bandaging up one another's wounds. Bro Eric will prob have more jewels in his crown when we get to heaven. I'm not a radical, I'm a realist, but it will be my effort to minimize planting the seed that promotes drama and tension. Don't spew fluids on me and we'll be ok.

I'm a Grandpa and he's a beautiful, happy, healthy baby. I met Clay Henry at the Arkansas Fly Fishers club meeting in LR and Coach Campbell was also there, both are passionate about fly fishing.

I don't talk NBA, Soccer or professional sports in general, but I love college football.

I look forward to agreeing/disagreeing and displaying another view from outside the box.

BHH,

I second Bake's comment.  Think several of us were absent for a bit during this summer, but you were gone even before summer time.  Hope it was a good break.

Now, tell us about the 5-2 defense we should run. biggrin

Thank you everyone. Yes, grandbabies are the very best. He's already got 3 Razorback outfits and only 2 months old. :)

Re: Rumors of my death greatly exaggerated...

Something about Hip reminds me of a character from a Twain novel.  I'm still deciding which character it is.

I look forward to the observations on grandparenting because they give us something to look forward to, aside from another HUNH thread in the Hawg Lounge.

Well I sure do feel left out. You did mention swords but my last name is sward. Welcome back, hipster. We have been missing your conversation.

Re: Like it or not, I'm back

I'm new to this forum but have been an avid reader for several years now.  By way of introduction,  I am a Arkansas native and a Razorback fan for almost 50 years going back the mid to late1960s.  I am a life member of the Arkansas Alumni association and contribute financially over the years.  I believe it is important to give back to the institution which has helped shaped my life and have an obligation to help those behind me.    More importantly, I have 2 degrees (BSBA & MPA) from the the U of A which have served me well in my career and allowed me to compete in the marketplace with anyone in the world.  I'm elgible for permanent retirement from my job in 6 months.

Over the years, I enjoyed the commentary from Baldheaded Hippy as well as others.  I'm glad he's back and regretted the circumstances in which he left.

I may make future comments on occasions.  I just hope that folks not get personal & keep it real.  I enjoy most sports as well as the next guy but my first passion is the Razorbacks.

That is the type of response that keeps level headed folks from the site.  In this diverse world, you have folks with varied viewpoints.  Everyone doesn't have the same backgrounds and experiences as you.  That's the beauty of listening to other opinions.  This is maybe not the site for me if folks have problems with it.  My time is too valuable.
